My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guides we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and I...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Interesting comments.
I believe creative people march to the beat of a different drum and that dreams play a huge role in their powers to create.
I wonder if all song writers dream and hear music. I think so. IMHO all these gifts come from the sky. I know mine do.
Sad about the loss of your daughter. It was hard for you especially-- due to the dream.

Yeah.
Hard on my wife as well.
She blames me for it happening.
Not like I don't already beat myself up over it.
(I do, often.)
I was the guy who helped her get her driver's license.
Her mom, father, and step-mother were ALL angry at me that I helped her with that.
The car accident was roughly 11 months and one week or so from the day she got her license, same year as well.
I also helped to put that
d@mned car she was driving on the road.
The last part of the above is what this was about:
"You know it'll never be the same.
Never be the way it was before-
I never had to tell you that.
I liked the way you let your hair fall down.
Now there's a need to beg forgiveness.
But certain things are better left undone.
And all I see, all I'll be-
why you wanted me?
Impossible? Deniable.
Must've meant to tell you.
Tell you that I liked the way you moved.
Now I sit here reflecting.
But I hate to sit here without."
kinda puts a sinister spin on it.

Sometimes I wonder if my 'creative talents' are more of acurse than a blessing. (blasting? Sure! I wonder at my suspect typing skills..)
I often get an idea for a sketch stuck in my head, and it drives me nutz 'cause it won't go away until I draw it, or I don't have what I need to draw it (in two cases, a model to pose for it to 'get it right' and looking like the image in my head) or mostly BOTH of the above.
*scratches head*
Being near-sighted and blind as a bat without the glasses seems to have made the vivid dreams and music in dreams sharper/worse, depending on your point of view.
(I have a clear vision sight distance measured in inches without the plastic eyeballs.)

A DOG POEM
Why own a dog? There's a danger you know,
You can't own just one, for the craving will grow.
There's no doubt they're addictive, wherein lies the danger,
While living with lots, you'll grow poorer and stranger.
One dog is no trouble and two are so funny,
The third one is easy, the fourth one's a honey.
The fifth one is delightful, the sixth one's a breeze,
You find you can live with a household with ease.
So how 'bout another? Would you really dare?
They're really quite easy but oh Lord the hair!
With dogs on the sofa and dogs on the bed,
And crates in the kitchen, it's no bother you said.
They're really no trouble, their manners are great,
What's one more dog and just one more crate?
The sofa is hairy, the windows are crusty,
The floor is all footprints, the furniture all dusty.
The housekeeper suffers, but what do you care?
Who minds a few nose prints and a little more hair.
So let's keep a puppy, you can always find room,
And a little more time for the dustcloth and broom.
There's hardly a limit to the dogs you can add,
The thought of a cutback sure makes you sad.
Each one is so special, so useful, so funny,
The vet and the food bill grows larger, you owe money.
Your folks never visit, few friends come to stay,
Except other dog folks, who live all the same way.
Your lawn has now died, and your shrubs are dead too,
But your weekends are busy, your off with your crew.
There's dog food and vitamins, training and shots,
And entries and travel and motel which cost lots.
Is it worth it, you wonder? Are you caught in a trap?
Then that favorite dog comes and climbs in your lap.
His look says you're special and you know that you will,
Keep all of the critters in spite of the bill.
But winter's a hassle, the dogs hate it too,
But they must have their walks though they're numb and you're blue.
Late evening is awful, you scream and you shout
At the dogs on the sofa that refuse to go out.
The dogs and the dog show, the travel, the thrills,
The work and the worry, the pressure, the bills.
The whole thing seems worth it, the dogs are our life
They're charming and funny and offset the strife.
Your lifestyle has changed - things won't be the same.
Yes, those dogs are addictive and so is the game!

Good songs SAM (the one under the donuts isn't linking) but the rest are great tunes! And of course I love the poetry about the dogs. ;)

Ahhhh the force!! I know it well. The muse is a very demanding force in my life, ie (curse) when I am driven from my bed to write a piece. Early morning hours are best for me to write. When the city is in bed.

I am running a MAC here don't know where the heck the file went!! Nothing came up to help with the file. I do have a Windows player should it have come up???
Something downloaded!!
LOL
To: bentfeather
It's a zipped (compressed) file.
File extension is .zip
File name is:
MaxPayne2_Theme.zip
If you can search for filename, look for it.
And when you find it, unzip the file (also known as decompress or extract.)
I'm not sure what Macs do when downloading files, but it's a 3.3 Mb file.
(roughly)

I love dogs. My Labradaniel "LulaBelle" turned 2 tears old today. We sang her happy birthday and she got excited. She had no idea why she was excited, but I think she liked the lyrics "Happy Birthday to Lu. Happy Birthday to Lu. Happy Birthday Dear Lula. Happy Birthday to Lu."
I've only written one poem about her cause I've been busy.
LulaBelle
She likes to hug you when you meet,
And Laura is to blame.
But she calms down in just a sec,
And seems to like her name.
She wags her tail like its on fire,
It breaks the speed of sound.
The step-cats are her closest friends,
When no one is around.
If we appear the cats get chased,
It can be quite a fracas.
But she would never hurt KC,
Or Boo who has a black azz.
Yes LulaBelles a funny dog,
And we both know her tricks.
But dont lean down to pet her,
Lest your face is needing licks.
We love our Labradaniel Lu,
And she loves us as well.
If you dont like her you are sick,
And can go straight back home.
