~The Dragon Flies Lair III~
October 18, 2003 | bentfeather

My Dragon Fly and Me

If I could be a Dragon Fly
and wing my way through the sky
I would never be shy
just me and my Dragon Fly!

By moonlight we ride the wind
chase the comets tail for fun
by day we would hide from the sun
our fragile wings would come undone

On darkest nights we would use
fireflies as our guides
we would dip and we would glide
through the heavens open wide
and scatter diamonds in the night sky
my Dragon Fly and I...

And we would wing past our lovers
silent in the night...
to kiss their face in our flight
much to their surprise and delight
my Dragon Fly and me in sight...

Such a view do we share
away up here in the air
of breezes soft through our hair
my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

many times i wander
around the echo'd halls
and think of things remarkable
but yet not at all
i wonder why it is this way
i stumble and i fall
and watch the things remarkable
but yet none at all
and then sit down in my jar.

the collected.

Point of view of someone who is residing inside a huge jar 'cause he's been collected.
*chuckle*
Thanks.

*snort*
I have some strange, and disturbing, dreams.

I find it disturbing.
VERY disturbing.
Especially when the dreams have stuff like.. well..
You'd need to play the game Max Payne to understand teh reference, so I won't make it.

Usually my dreams are surreal and odd, things shifting shape, form, and even 'reality'.
Like a person speaking will become a table and chairs with a phone, and old rotary phone.
And they're still talking.
It's like getting to close to the constellations and running into a shower of screaming half-ripe mind apples. (Neil Gaiman Sandman comic reference..)

Or friends long dead show up and talk.
And when asked, "How can you be here? You're dead!"
They merely smile and go, "So? It's your dream. Besides, how did you ever get along without us?"
Or they say that matters not, just look at this.
Some of my most memorable and odd dreams have been that way.

I think most people have dreams like that from time to time. They are dreams! That's all. I have had some pretty strange dreams too. Haunting at times.

It's more a constant thing for me.
Some of my supposed 'best work' with drawings or written works have been from dreams.

Of course, that's where the inspiration lives.

Was your precious drawing one of those inspirations??

That is so sad, dear and precious, I really love it.

The rose and foot print are really inspiration. Powerful!

Wondrous love is
oil on every sharp-toothed
pain and
is cut in diamonds
and precious gems for you...

LOVE QUOTE

It is quite right what they say:
the three most beautiful sights in the world are a ship in full sail,
a galloping horse, and a woman dancing.

Morning

I started out the door for work,
The same as every day.
I stopped before I locked the door,
A little voice said, “Hey".
"Go comb your hair you crazy fool,
Your hair’s not even dry”.
While finishing the morning rut,
I promised me, I’d try.
To be more careful bout this stuff,
I guess I’m getting old.
The little voice said, “Tie your shoes,”
“Shut up” the voice I told.
