My Dragon Fly and Me

If I could be a Dragon Fly
and wing my way through the sky
I would never be shy
just me and my Dragon Fly!

By moonlight we ride the wind
chase the comets tail for fun
by day we would hide from the sun
our fragile wings would come undone

On darkest nights we would use
fireflies as our guides
we would dip and we would glide
through the heavens open wide
and scatter diamonds in the night sky
my Dragon Fly and I...

And we would wing past our lovers
silent in the night...
to kiss their face in our flight
much to their surprise and delight
my Dragon Fly and me in sight...

Such a view do we share
away up here in the air
of breezes soft through our hair
my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Aaaaah yes. Phil!! Had to click a second time to hear the whole song....the ISP keeps going out on me! grrrrrrrr! Something about "tunnel accelerator"? "Accelerator tunnel"? Whatever. It went out, any-hoo, and so did the music. Phil's crooning now though.

Linkin Park usually does hip-hop sounding rock, but that was one of their 'regular' sounding things.
Wish they had it on their website..
It is a pretty tune.

Dispatched from treetops, falls
A feather, broken from a wing
Quill stabbing earth bound and reluctant
Into leaves piling and gathering around
Brown was the tip, that fades
Slowly white and gray, spotted
A peregrine erupts the treetops
And disrupts the canopy’s slumber
Somber in a field, stands
Wheat stalks, symmetrical and similar
Across a span of a hilltop
Brown was the stalk, that grows
Subtle into golden fingertips, touching
One another, a farmer calmly reaps
Walking through the gentle waves
