A BOMSHELL? Is it also series and hugh?
Yes, it’s an important story, I just hate the overused “Bombshell” description.

Summary: “Bombshell Evidence Blows Jan. 6 Pipe Bomber Story Wide Open”
The video argues that investigative journalist Steve Baker has uncovered evidence that allegedly contradicts the FBI’s case against Brian Cole Jr., who was arrested in connection with the pipe bombs placed near the Republican and Democratic National Committee headquarters on January 5, 2021.
The presenter and a guest contend that Cole may have been wrongly identified as the perpetrator and that investigators should revisit evidence concerning a possible alternative suspect. These are the speakers’ allegations and interpretations, not established findings that the FBI identified the wrong person.
- The original pipe-bomb investigation: Two homemade pipe bombs were placed near the RNC and DNC headquarters on the evening before the January 6 Capitol riot. The perpetrator remained unidentified for nearly five years, according to the video’s account.
- Cole’s arrest: The video says Brian Cole Jr. was arrested in late 2025 and charged in connection with the devices. It alleges that investigators had previously examined information about him but did not pursue it until after Baker published an investigation identifying a possible alternative suspect.
- Baker’s alternative-suspect theory: Baker reportedly used gait analysis—a comparison of a person’s walking pattern and body movements—to suggest that a former Capitol Police officer, Shawnee Kirkhoff, might resemble the hooded individual in the FBI’s surveillance footage. The presenter cites an estimated 92% probability, but the transcript does not provide the underlying analysis or independent validation of that figure.
- Questions about the investigation: The speakers criticize the FBI’s handling of the surveillance footage, its investigative timeline and the circumstances surrounding Cole’s arrest. They also claim that Kirkhoff was given a polygraph examination that she failed. The transcript does not include the underlying records needed to independently assess these allegations.
- Cole’s interrogation: The video characterizes Cole’s confession as coerced. It alleges that he initially denied involvement during an interrogation lasting several hours, then confessed after investigators pressured him, threatened consequences for his family and repeatedly challenged his denials. The speakers argue that the confession lacked independently supplied details and was shaped by leading questions.
- The alleged alibi evidence: Baker reportedly located surveillance footage showing a person he believes was Cole in a different area of Washington at a time relevant to the bomb placements. The video compares the person’s hairline, glasses, face mask, jacket and distinctive way of wearing shoes with Cole’s appearance and clothing. The speakers argue that these comparisons undermine the identification of Cole as the bomber, but the transcript does not establish that the footage conclusively identifies him or proves his whereabouts at the critical times.
- Allegations of an institutional cover-up: The guest argues that Cole was framed and speculates that the actual perpetrator may have had intelligence-agency connections. He criticizes FBI and Justice Department officials for continuing the prosecution and calls for Cole’s release. The video offers these as conclusions and accusations; it does not present conclusive evidence establishing CIA involvement or a deliberate frame-up.
- Baker’s role: The presenter praises Baker for continuing to investigate the case despite criticism and professional repercussions. He argues that Baker’s work could force a reassessment of the government’s account.
The central thesis is that Brian Cole Jr. may have been wrongly accused and that newly examined surveillance footage warrants renewed scrutiny of the FBI’s investigation. The speakers believe that inconsistencies in the timeline, questions about the confession and comparisons of surveillance images cast doubt on the prosecution’s case.
The Justice Department’s public account provides evidence that the video’s argument needs to address. Prosecutors have cited Cole’s purchases of components consistent with those used in the devices, vehicle license-plate-reader records and cellphone-location data that they say correspond with the suspected bomber’s movements. Cole was charged in December 2025, and a federal indictment followed in January 2026.
There was reason to believe there bombs were placed at a different time than when the authorities claimed they were.
If they had been placed the night before how the heck did they miss spotting them the following morning?

So is the suspect’s alibi for the night or for the next day?
Indeed.
One does not experience that kind of bombing these days as in the days of yore.
Pity.
The semi-retarded black guy was always nonsense IMO. The whole story is part of the Democrat cover up.

I don’t know.
Ask Richard Jewell, he might know.
Oh, Bongino is all over this. Never believe what they are telling you he says. For years he has been all over this.
Then he became one of them. Now, there is nothing to see here, just move along.
Bongino turned out to be a yuge disappointment to me.
If the new video evidence turns out to be legitimate and create an alibi, some Deep State elements had to be setting up Brian Cole to take a bomber rap for two years plus before the Jan 5/6, 2021 bomb planting. Do they keep a stable of patsies ready to take the fall for various crime types in case the need arises? That strains credulity, yet...
It’s been known Bongino framed the wrong guy since the beginning.
The old evidence cleared this patsy. He doesn’t even wear a watch. Everything points towards that woman cop. For some reason, Bongino is protecting her.
