Five of the 14 statewide ballot measures are related to taxes
The one you’ve likely heard most about is Proposition 40, which, if passed, would make California the first state to introduce a wealth tax. Almost all of the tens of billions of dollars the tax is estimated to generate would be set aside for the state’s public health insurance programs
Prop. 3 would make permanent a higher income tax rate for the state’s top earners that voters approved on a temporary basis twice in the past decade-plus. The tax — which expires in 2030 unless Prop. 3 passes — typically raises $5 billion to $15 billion annually, with most of the money going to schools.
Finally, Prop. 43 would make it harder to pass citizen-driven local tax proposals by raising the voting threshold from a simple majority to two-thirds. Business groups and anti-tax advocates have been wanting to put some version of Prop. 43 on the ballot for nearly a decade.

The state lost population so they don't need as much looting of the citizen earnings to fund the teachers association.
Illegals have to eat and get medical care plus free homes/cars/phones ,LOL
Well the rats pick the voters and count the votes. So l have little or no hope for Ca.
The rats are also in charge of overseeing state elections and ... just checking ... yup ... the CA elections seem pure as the driven snow. No problems there at all.
The California Democrats have been using the same playbook ever since they achieved an incontestable majority in the legislature, the governor’s office and the state courts. This involves killing the goose that was laying the golden eggs, imposing ever heavier taxes on those who had ever benefited from the possession of the diminishing number of golden eggs previously spread around so generously, and squandering the wealth once so abundant in the state. California has the resources, and the location, to become a very wealthy nation in its own right, but like Venezuela, has surrendered to the one-party government which has adopted an impossible agenda, contradictory in nature, that continually sabotages all their best intentions, in some mysterious competition for whomever can reach the bottom the quickest.
The looters and the moochers are ganging up on the producers, who is John galt???
Here is the irony, guys.
They are complaining about the high price of everything, including gas, all of which can come down in price.
Taxes are a permanent reduction in spending power and voters will approve a few of these, easily.
Which is why there are so many initiatives on the ballot.
Yes. See my tagline. I am wearing this sign on a sandwich board at standouts in my extremely blue state.
“Wealth” is not money you have lying around unused.
“Wealth” is invesments.
Investments create jobs.
No jobs, no wealth.
They have no good intentions. They're demonrats. Maybe they meant well at one time, but not anymore.
Likey
“Gas prices are Temporary. Communism is Forever. Vote Republican.”
Love it! Hope the whiners on this site get it too. I’d like to put a banner on the back of my cybertruck and see leftist heads explode but they would probably bomb my truck.
There’s nothing at all new about that.
In the upscale No Calif town where I live, if a proposition aims to open a slaughterhouse or a battery reprocessing facility next to the local school, the authors of the bill will tout the benefits arising from building the thing and the voters will vote for ANYTHING that is sold as “...to improve schools and better our childrens’ lives”.
ALL the propositions on the ballot are deceptively described, and are generally written so that a “no” vote is actually in favor of the new tax.
“Almost all”. Lol!
If the stupids in Kaliforniastan vote for these taxes, then they deserve the shot in the foot or ass that they deserve. Self-inflicted wound. Their problem, not mine.
The closer the state gets to rock bottom the more wealth and power the elites have…
Forget it Jake, it’s Gavintown...
Indeed, I get a lot of honks from cars and thumb’s up for that sign, even in this massively entrenched blue state.
And let’s not forget that should any of their looting be voted down, they’ll just find some judge to overrule the will of the people. Like they always do.
It’s justified because free stuff is expensive.
