Louis Geri will be spending the next five years and ten months in federal prison for threatening to detonate more than 100 improvised explosive devices on the steps of St. Matthew’s Cathedral in Washington, DC.
Is that enough time behind bars? Probably not.
You see, this wasn’t just a normal bomb threat. On Monday, U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro revealed that the threat coincided with the annual Red Mass — a service often attended by Supreme Court justices and other senior government officials.
Despite Geri’s high-profile targets, violent threats, and outrageous demands, Judge Randolph Moss granted a shorter sentence in response to the defense’s argument, saying his “conduct was the product of a treatable medical condition spiraling out of control, not malice or an actual intent to harm.”
According to reporting by ABC News, Geri had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder and had been skipping his medicine in the months leading up to the incident. Defense counsel claimed that this crime was driven by mental illness — not malice.
This is ridiculous. Mental illness does not justify endangering law-abiding Americans. We don’t want him around our kids, in our neighborhoods, or at our places of work.
Any judge that expedites the release of a would-be terrorist clearly has insufficient regard for human welfare.

It is time that the lazy ass Congress passes a law that ALL JUDGES IN AMERICA MUST BE NATURAL BORN CITIZENS. (Anchor babies from freeloading foreigners must also be excluded.). Dual citizenship “judgies” and “judgettes” should also be disqualified from serving on ALL U.S. courts. They are not Americans in my humble opinion. They have other countries in their interest.

It began when the mental hospitals were closed down in the 1970s and the crazies dumped on the streets. Killings by crazies then took off like a rocket.
Almost every mass shooter would have been in a mental hospital had they not been closed.

I agree with your post but would go one step further. It’s time for ALL Federal Judges to be automatically suspended with pay every 5th year pending a review of their political bias. Too many far left rulings or far right rulings and you are terminated but can retain whatever, if any, retirement benefits you might be eligible for. In any event, SOMETHING has to be done about Federal Judges. Lifetime tenure has become a joke. I also think that to reduce the “human element” in these reviews that a “standard” (permanent, fixed, applies to all) be given to AI and AI makes the final decision about the judges.
Leftist activists need to keep the Spectre of assassination over our elected leaders in order to get them to act on their behalf.
I see a lot of potential in using AI to fix our justice system. Anyone can look around at the judges and the juries and realize that humans in the 21st century cannot do what they are supposed to do. You would have to be careful about it, and have fail-safes in place, but AI could certainly do a better job than people.

A federal judge in Washington, D.C. ruled Friday against the Trump administration’s initial asylum ban, which was announced last November. Judge Randolph Moss vacated the government’s policy barring migrants from claiming asylum if they did not enter the country through designated ports of entry.
The judge found that it violates the Administrative Procedures Act (APA), which oversees the ways federal rules are established.
“Fortunately, the Court need not engage in such logical gymnastics because the language of the APA and the controlling D.C. Circuit precedent are unambiguous,” he wrote. “The Court, accordingly, concludes that the proper remedy is to set the Rule aside, and the legal consequences of that result are not limited ‘to the individual’ plaintiffs. . .
