House Judiciary Republicans just put a name and a paper trail on what Arlington County has been doing in practice.
Commonwealth’s Attorney Parisa Dehghani-Tafti is accused of running a two-track system: citizens get charged, illegal aliens get a workaround, and DACA recipients facing DWIs can be steered onto a “lateral charge” so their status stays intact.
We can't even make this crap up.
The county’s own trust policy, the GOP report says, even tells local cops not to initiate contact with ICE — violent felons, gang members, traffickers, and terrorism suspects included. ICE detainers get ignored, the suspects go back onto Virginia streets, and Arlington still wants credit for keeping people “safe.”
That’s not equal justice.
That’s a preference.

Wow, this is incredible. It’s getting to the point to where we need to have full time “prosecutors” dedicated to prosecuting “prosecutors” who will not follow the law as written. Some jail time will curtail this bs.

I think I see the problem.
In July 2026, Dehghani-Tafti was deposed by the United States House Committee on the Judiciary over her handling of a case where she declined to prosecute an activist who distributed leaflets with the home address of White House advisor Stephen Miller.[21][22][23]
In September 2026, Dehgani-Tafti made the statement that Arlington County will not pursue DWI charges for DACA recipients.
Dehghani-Tafti testified that her office’s policy is to find a resolution or shift to a “lateral charge” so DACA recipients don’t lose their status.[24]
I grew up in Arlington, VA. There was never a Commonwealth’s Attorney named Parisa Dehghani-Tafti. It was about 5% black, almost all British, Irish, and German. Now it has been overrun by foreign invaders. It was sort of “liberal” for the times and compared to most of Virginia, but not like this.
Every illegal generates a mailin ballot — which the DNC fills out.
That is and always has been the total purpose.
You can hope she becomes missing some day. If this disparate treatment can be proven, she should be in jail.
Dehghani-Tafti was born in Iran and immigrated to the United States as a child.[3] She graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a BA in Philosophy and Comparative Literature and received her law degree from New York University School of Law.[4]

All of northern VA is like that. Fairfax County had something like 50%+ illegal population.
