The 9/11 hijackers picked 9-11 for historical reasons.
The turks were so terrified of the winged hussars they fled without murdering their hostages. The Christians captured wagon loads of coffee beans from the turks and that’s how viennese coffee houses started.
Holy Roman Emperor Leopold I begged Sobieski to save Vienna. Afterward, he forbade any monument to Sobieski. Talk about ingratitude.
