For about the 25th year, one of Free Republic's members is pleased to create a Yahoo! Pick'em Fantasy Football league.
The league rules are simple:
** Pick the winners of each game
** Assign a confidence value to each game
** Post messages to each other on the message board that include bad puns
** Donate generously to Free Republic at the end of the season in the name of the top point earner
That's about it. It is a wonderful time waster that really doesn't take much time. I tend to pick all the games in preseason for all 17 weeks, then look them over to decide if I really like that pick.
Simple, easy, with no public wagering and lots of fun.
The team number this year is 267 - "Free Republic Pick'em".
Drop that in the team number and FReepmail me for the password.

I don't think we need to nominate the Dallas Jerry's-Boys for a 17-0 season, but just so you know, he is all in and working harder than ever to ensure a championship.

Will WIAGs be keeping the “on-forum” results?
Hasn’t Dallas already been eliminated from playoff contention?
In my other Fantasy League I have Dak and Pickens, so they’d better be good on offense this year.
There are two fantasy leagues with primarily FR members.
We use confidence points to select winners, and the larger league collect wins.
I haven’t noticed an announcement year for the other league.
Our league was started by Indivisible Church about 2000, and I have taken the reins for the last 10 years or so.
Will need to poke around and see what is up with them.
That happens Week 1.
But at least the Cowboy fans have the next draft to look forward to.

The Arlington Cowgirls are so desperate, they signed 37 year old pass rusher Von Miller. They will not win another Super Bowl as long as Jerry Jones is the GM. Jerry Jones does not care about their record though, he makes a ton of money win or lose.
