In sales psychology, questions are more persuasive than statements — and it’s not even close. That’s because (scripted) questions can lead audiences towards a very specific conclusion, and our own conclusions are more credible than anyone else’s.
If I tell you something, your defenses are up; when you tell yourself something, it’s almost certainly true.
Quick example: Grocery stores want you to return (over and over again). Their business model, after all, relies on customer loyalty. Therefore, grocery stores have a vested interest in shoppers leaving satisfied, happy, and content.
Which is why cashiers are trained to ask, “Did you find everything you’re looking for?”
Because, obviously, you already did — otherwise you wouldn’t be standing in the checkout line like an idiot. (That’s kinda-sorta how grocery stores work.) But if the cashier had told you, “I’m glad you found everything you’re looking for!” your eyes would narrow and you'd think: “You’re not me! How do you know what I was looking for? What a rude, presumptuous comment!”
Yet when she poses it as a question, we’re forced to connect the dots on our own: “Why, yes. I came to this store needing things, and now I’m leaving with EVERYTHING I was looking for. How ‘bout that!”

- Do you believe that American Muslims who convert to another faith should be executed — or in any way punished?
- Should it be illegal to publish a cartoon of the Prophet Mohammed in the U.S.? Do you believe the staff at Charlie Hebdo bears any guilt or culpability for what happened to them?
- How does your “obligation” to follow Sharia law impact your view of homosexuality, gay rights, gay adoption, and same-sex marriages? When Sharia law and the Supreme Court are in conflict, whose authority takes precedence in your duty as a U.S. senator?
- How do you reconcile your earlier support for the "defund the police” movement with Sharia’s call to amputate the right hand of a convicted thief?
- You’ve said about politics, “Nobody fights the war to just win the war. You fight the war to win the peace.” According to your interpretation of Sharia law, is it permissible for a Muslim to lie to non-Muslims to win a war?
- Do you believe child marriage is evil, perverted, and ought to be banned in the United States — and any adult man who consummates a “marriage” with a nine-year-old ought to be incarcerated?
- Should non-Muslims be allowed to testify in court against Muslims? Roughly 4,700 dogs and cats were euthanized during your tenure as Detroit’s health director. How many dogs and cats did you personally adopt? How many dogs and cats do you own today?
- Do you support Americans’ First Amendment right to say controversial, offensive, and even blasphemous things about ALL religions, including Islam?
- Could you explain your thought process that led you to go from believing football culture is slavery and embodies toxic masculinity to “loving” it so much that you just challenged a 63-year-old man to a one-on-one game of tackle football?
...
There’s not a MSM reporter on the planet who has the stones to ask him even one of these questions. Instead, he will get fluff balls in interviews.
Do you support muslim men marrying 6 year olds and fornicating with them at the ripe old age of 9?
Do you support imams owning 6 year old bacha Bazi boys for sex?
Do infidel women deserve to be raped?
Just make this a hole pledge his loyalty to that filthy evil cult of Islam.
Oh yeah. This is the stuff.
“Did you find everything you’re looking for?”
Because, obviously, you already did — otherwise you wouldn’t be standing in the checkout line like an idiot.

Frequently I do NOT find all I was looking for. I check out anyway.
They are capable of answering questions in a dishonest way.
Which is what makes this question so annoying. There are 6 people in line behind me. I am not going to say: "Uh, no, I forgot to grab a can of tomato soup, and I couldn't find the kosher pickles."
Boxers or briefs?
If you support all that you support the dems, they brought muslims here for their vote and their money..
yeah, that’s what he’s going to get. These stupid communists are going to get exactly what the Iranian communists got in 1979, thinking they could co-opt the muzzies
Good questions!
Question #1. Are you an observant muslim? If he say “yes”,
We’re done here
Their creed encourages lying to infidels to gain an advantage.
Infidel.
Yeah, I sometimes don’t find what I was looking for either. I just say “yes”, because I want to check out and be on my way, and not be involved in a possibly lengthy conservation.
They ask the question because they do resets on a regular basis which means things that were available last week may not be there this week.
If enough people say, "No, I could not find the purple ketchup" they know that, even if it was not a big seller it had a loyal following and so they need to see about keeping it on the shelf. Because if they have to go to another store for their purple ketchup they will buy other things there as well. Which means they will not be buying those things from you.
You keep the majority of your customers through inertia. They are not motivated to find something else.
The same can be said for political parties.
Perhaps they should start asking the same question to their voters. Did you find everything you were looking for?
Do you agree with FGM? Female Genital Mutualization?
Is it going on here in the USA? Who performed it on your daughters?
