I CCW at all waking hours. There was a time I also carried a vehicle rifle during the BLM days (with one of those green, cloth grocery bags full of loaded mags). It looks like it may be coming to that again. I sure hope not.

Sounds like a good plan. I would worry about having the M1 Carbine stolen since it is a very valuable gun. I bought an AK47 back when they were really cheap. It is a Commie bloc gun and the gun I would least regret being stolen. But it has never malfunctioned after a few thousand rounds and has decent punch with JSP rounds. I now have more than one AR so I could go with that too.
