The Democrat party has been freaking out about the Democratic Socialists of late – despite striking similarities between their policies – because while Democrats are happy to sweet talk voters into socialist ideas that signal maximum virtue, they don’t actually want to enact policies that would make blue-city budgets even more dire than they are.
In short, the party is panicking because the voters they radicalized are electing radicals…
So what better way to let progressives see what they’re voting for? Trot out a co-chair of the DSA with maybe two brain cells to rub together, ask her simple questions, and watch her implode.
To wit: co-chair Megan Romer was given a softball interview by New Yorker editor David Remnick, in which he asked Romer “What does ‘taxing the hell out of them’ mean?” in regards to a core DSA position of ‘taxing the rich.’
Romer stumbled hard…
Romer: Uh, yeah, you know, again, I don’t have like a solid…
Remnick: But shouldn’t you? If you’re the co-chair of the DSA, shouldn’t you be more specific than ‘taxing the hell’ out of something? What exactly do you mean?
Romer: Um, that’s a good question. “So again, it’s democracy, right? And we have to look at what we have to spend and what we need. We don’t want to depend on the existence of millionaires because that means people are still getting exploited.”
“They went to campus and had their heads filled with junk and have never been challenged on any of this for their entire life, by anyone,” said commentator Stephen Miller, adding “An entire generation of privileged idiots.”
Romer was then asked about open borders – and once again, cogent answers left the chat…
She was also asked the very loaded question about whether DSA believes Israel ‘has a right to exist.’
And instead of something about how Palestinians also have a right to exist, asymmetric warfare, or Israel using the US to fight a proxy war in Iran based on decades of being ‘two weeks away’ from a nuke – Romer once again failed to formulate anything resembling a response one might expect from a DSA honcho (or not, nevermind).

DSA Co-Chair Megan Romer is asked to explain the DSA position on ‘open borders.’
The slightest ask for explanation or scrutiny placed on these nonsensical positions results in this rhetorical gobbledygook:
“They’re all part of this long term goal where we are putting huge amounts of resources into alleviating poverty, into stopping destabilization of countries internationally that are causing a huge migrant flow.”
“Most people in the US are here because of a prior period of unrestricted immigration or of much looser immigration.”
“We’re not saying throw the gates open. We’re saying, let’s look at where the system is really flawed, really problematic.”
Interviewer: “I think that’s called immigration reform.”
“It is, but we think that you have to look at all of these things from first principles. Right? We started here from first principles. So what do we want out of an immigration system. Let’s start there.”
“That doesn’t mean thinking just throwing open the borders and then building from the ground up.”
“It means reforming the system we have while we rethink the system, while we build this new one from the ground up, and then hopefully eventually flipping the switch.”
It doesn’t matter how you get to “flipping the switch” on an open border. All of that is pure spin and obfuscation.
Just own the fact that you want to abolish the border and mass amnesty. She stated exactly that about a week ago.
DSA Co-Chair Megan Romer describes her political journey to the DSA:
She was first a “Jon Stewart liberal.”
“Got most of my news from Jon Stewart. That was my primary news source.”
After Hillary lost, she was “horrified and baffled.”
She then got invited by a folk singer to a DSA meeting.
And now speaks in bumper sticker slogans for the DSA and can’t answer basic questions about the organization’s positions and platform.
All of this explains so much.

Once they have taken all the millionaires’ money, then where will they get funding?..................
Two examples:
“Technically” the Second Amendment guarantees that the right to bear arms will not be infringed.
Of course, we currently live with about a million infringements. The clear wording of the Constitution has meant nothing.
Also, Fundamental changes to the nature of the US government are always possible with a properly ratified Amendment to the US Constitution.
Of course, if DSA gets control, they will just abolish the Senate, the Presidency and the Supreme Court. Just try to stop them. Stroke of the pen. Law of the land. Just you wait and see.
The Constitution is difficult to modify, change or abolish for a reason...........She’s the reason............
Leftists are such incredibly uncivil, misinformed idiots. Their life view is centered on their confused mental abilities. They are truly coo-coo (i.e...insane).
Very true.
But please don't miss my point: I believe that if DSA gets control, then they will modify, change or abolish parts of our government and they will "deem" that a Constitutional Amendment just isn't needed. Now, you can scoff and say "They can't do that" or "That's not the way it works". But anyone who has seen the history of socialist revolutions ought to understand that the Constitutional process means NOTHING to these people. They will just make stuff happen. And it helps to note that Sharia Law outranks the Constitution. Sharia Law is the highest law in the land. They can do whatever they want, and they won't ask for permission.
You can stop these people with a bullet, but you cannot stop them with any sort of "parliamentary procedure". They will laugh at you.
I see Kamala Harris has been her mentor.
