One would think Alton or E. St. Louis, wouldn’t you? But she’s from Urbana, 170 miles NE in the central part of the state.
I went to high school in Chesterfield west of St. Louis in the county in the mid 60s. Learned to drive there. One of the most important driving lessons was to NEVER go to E. St. Louis or Alton.
