Massachusetts US District Judge Myong Joun struck down the Trump Administration's attempt to disallow public service workers from receiving debt relief for working with employers that are deemed to have a "substantial illegal purpose."
The Judge said that "the Biden Administration classified student debtors working with organizations like USAID as eligible for debt forgiveness. Later evidence indicating that some of these employers were engaged in efforts to promote illegal immigration and terrorists cells cannot undo the promised debt relief. Trying to single out these activities for punitive action can be seen as an impermissible suppression of their right to freedom of speech. While the Trump Administration is understandably opposed to both terrorism and illegal immigration others are not. Consequently, the advocacy of both these activities can be considered a matter of policy differences rather than simply crimes worthy of prosecution."
District of Columbia Judge Amir Ali asserted that "teachers employed by public schools that assist students to identify as transgender should not lose the debt-relief to which they are entitled merely because members of the Trump Administration think that students shouldn't undergo irreversible medical interventions without their parents' knowledge or consent. There is no federal law against this and there are numerous states where the law favors this."
Under Secretary of Education Nicholas Kent called the Judge's ruling "contrary to common sense. The Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program is intended to support Americans who serve the public good, not to subsidize organizations that engage in terrorism, facilitate illegal immigration, or support the mutilation of children."

Government should have nothing to do with student loans
Judge Amir Ali
The problem with the ruling right there...
So, one president says to do something and another president says not to and now a leftist, corrupt judge says the second president can’t undo the firts. What BS. Our judges stink and are a cause of a lot of problems in this country since they are ruling on their politics and not the Constiturion or law.
Government should have nothing to do with ANY loans.............
This foreign scum needs to be deported...
I hope someone is keeping a list for Vigilante Day.
More rogue judges that need to be slapped back. Roberts, where are you??
“Government should have nothing to do with student loans”
Obama did this. To screw up our youth. He hates this country
Look at the timelines
Look who got into the deans offices in the ivies and when
Look at the rate of inflation on the government-paid, up front before service to the student colleges and universities
Anything Biden proposed was to cover up this major fiasco that students should not and cannot pay
Look at how the doofuses in our dumb country say that kids should quit going to school. For what? To make Obama happy?
Once the democrats take office again and the republicans try this same stunt, watch how fast the resolve the issue.
Another district judge issuing orders that enjoin the Feds? Tell that judge to F/O ....
Born in South Korea in 1971 came to the U.S. with his parents in 1974. Then served in the U.S. Army and the Mass. National Guard. Then graduated from university and law school here in the U.S. Most likely on the GI Bill.
Parents were poor so they didn’t pay for his education. The U.S. taxpayer did. He’s a smart cookie. Knew how to work the system right off the bat. Didn’t get hung up on stupid U.S. women or anything else like that either.
What other country gives advancement opportunities like these to non-citizens or allows them to serve in their military?
Do we have some sort of deal going on with South Korea?
That's a direct quote from Judge Joun. Read that sentence one more time. This is the kind of insanity Democrat administrations are importing into our courtrooms.
