As Americans celebrate the country's Semiquincentennial, the White House did not fail to deliver. What is one of the very best speeches of Donald Trump's career is a message, from Mount Rushmore, as much to Americans themselves as it is to Europeans and to the rest of the international community.
After stating that "America was founded on liberty and independence — not government coercion, domination, and control; we are born free, and we will stay free" at his State of the Union Address in February 2019, POTUS45 concluded that
we renew our resolve that America will never be a socialist country
At Mount Rushmore in July 2026, POTUS47 renewed the nation's resolve that
America will never be a Communist country.
While the Left's Drama Queens attack such things as American slavery at every turn — something that ended 160 years ago, in the 1860s, and that after as many American servicemen died in four short years as did in all wars of the 20th century combined (including both world wars and Vietnam) — they forget to mention that the societies that communists installed (and I am not just speaking of the gulags) and that they venerate amount(ed) to nothing less than slavery in the 20th and 21st centuries.

Probably more than half the people that might listen to him haven’t got a clue what he is talking about. Just platitudes.
They need basics. You may be created equal but you are not guaranteed an equal outcome. You aren ot entitled to be well off, you have to work for it. America doesn’t owe you or anyone else a damn thing. Fact is, there is nothing here wihout eveyone working.
He keeps talking about American values, the American way. It exists in only some now and most of it is in the past. Only a few know what it means to be a doer. The rest just watch if they even do that.
I am proud of our past and weep for the sacrifices made but I am not proud of our present and have dim prospects for our future. 20% just can’t continue to carry the other 80% like they do now.

I’m watching the 250 celebrations in Washington D.C. tonight. Someone, probably Trump, decided he wanted Italian opera to be played at the start. What does that have to do with celebrating the signing of the Declaration and the birth of the U.S.A.? Probably it’s some of Trump’s favorite music. Then it’s Lee Greenwood with that tired, trite song that Trump played endlessly at his rallies.
This is about the country and its history; it’s not about Trump. It’s not another Trump political rally with his favorite music. I just wish Trump would get that through his head for once. How about something other than pop tunes?
