JD Vance calls out ‘immaturity’ of many conservatives…

===================================================================

MAGA isn’t perfect. And JD Vance’s latest comments prove that he and President Trump can see some of the issues bubbling to the surface. ‘

JD Vance made a very simple point during his interview with Megyn Kelly, and it’s something a lot of people on the right probably needed to hear.

Politics isn’t an emotional support system. It’s messy, frustrating, imperfect, and full of moments where leaders you voted for will do something you don’t like. That’s totally normal and part of the process, like it or not. And yes, when President Trump makes a move people disagree with, especially on something as serious as foreign policy, voters have every right to speak up, push back, and make their case. That’s also totally normal and part of the process.

But there’s a difference between smart, principled criticism and a full-blown tantrum.

But way too often, parts of the right go from zero to nuclear the second Trump does one thing they don’t like. Suddenly he’s “deep state” and has betrayed everyone. They hop online and announce the movement is dead, everything was fake, and everyone who doesn’t join the meltdown is a sellout and part of the problem. It’s this bizarre, right-wing version of TDS, where one disagreement turns into a total emotional collapse.

And admitting this happens isn’t making the claim that voters should blindly support every decision Trump makes. Contrary to left-wing belief, we’re not a cult. But the opposite overreaction is just as ridiculous. If one policy fight is enough to make someone toss out an entire movement, abandon every win, and start sounding like a Resistance liberal, then maybe the problem isn’t Trump. Maybe the problem is a lack of emotional discipline and a true understanding of the art of politics.

There’s a proactive way to criticize your own side. You make the argument, apply pressure, and explain why you think the decision is wrong. You rally people around a better position. That’s how mature adults operate in politics and life, to be honest.

Then there’s the hysterical way, where people lash out, burn everything down, and declare everyone is owned by the Deep State because Trump didn’t deliver you personal validation. Sadly, as Vance points out, many people on the right pick that lane, and it hands advantages to the left.

Vance’s point is common sense and a reminder that politics requires a lot of patience, perspective, and maturity. We need to understand that no leader is going to please every voter all the time, and government just doesn’t work that way.

And yes, there’s some irony in Vance making this very point to Megyn Kelly, who has had several meltdowns over Trump’s Iran moves.

Vance also discussed a host of other topics, including the Iran situation. And speaking of not being able to please everyone, the neocons who backed Trump’s war in Iran are suddenly furious over the idea of peace.

MJ Truth Ultra:

HOT DAMMMMM…. Mark Levin is now DEMANDING the decision to end the Iran war be left up to Congress.. not Trump… and JD Vance did not mince words He says he finds it ironic how Mark Levin and other neocons are very worried about ending the war and put it plainly— they are proposing an endless conflict. They want it to go on until every bomb has been dropped, and every Iranian has been killed — that is NOT what President Trump wants.

“If your only goal is to drop bombs, without any clear goals, without any American interest implicated, you’re not making wise decisions for the American people.”

JD’s biggest beef is that many people are misreporting the recent “peace deal.”

The bottom line is that neocons like Mark Levin and others supported the Iran war in hopes that it would escalate into a full-blown boots-on-the-ground disaster. And when that didn’t happen, they lashed out in that all-too-familiar “immature” way.

MJ Truth Ultra:

DAM.. this is so good…

JD Vance reacts to John Podhoretz from Commentary Magazine, who is very pro-Israel, stating that President Trump CHOKED, and criticizes him for not sending US troops to Iran to be sacrificed

Yes, he really did say that…

JD: “They’re giving away the game— what he’s really saying is that he doesn’t not care about American lives and does not care about casualties…”

If you disagree with a move Trump makes, you should argue against it and demand answers… just do it without lighting yourself on fire politically. The right has spent years watching the left spiral into Trump-obsessed lunacy. There’s no reason to copy that behavior just because you’re disappointed with an issue.

That behavior is learned from the left.

Some on the right are so far “right” they have turned the corner and stand right next to the extreme left

Seen it on FR too, but to be fair, being triggered is in the full dominion of the lefties. The right, while quite capable of it, can’t hold a candle to the left on this.

Vance can spin this all he likes. The fact is that this decision to go to inconclusive war with Iran and this “deal” has been a political and economic disaster. The demonic Democrats will ride the backlash to power in ‘26 and ‘28. This impulsive decision has left the Trump Administration and his legacy in tatters. It will be the American people and the American nation that will suffer. Its delusional not to face facts and reality.

JD makes a delicate, almost ‘3rd Rail’ kind of point.
But he’s right to bring it up for open discussion.
Moderation in all things is the key.

I think a lot of the TDS on display here are activist disruptors; but we see plenty of the 'zero to nuclear' behavior among regular Conservatives, too.

That is a complete mischaracterization of Levin's words: he wants to eliminate the ability of that government/regime to harm the US, Israel, and our allies. That does not require an endless conflict. It does require having the resolve to finish what was started: punishing the bad behavior and insuring that it can't happen again.

We were perhaps a couple of weeks away from exactly that. I had hoped that our 'pause' was merely to do damage assessment and figure out exactly how we needed to proceed to finish the job.

Apparently not. Now the IRGC thinks we're weak and that their tactics have won the day.

Iran got hit hard, we stopped their nuclear program for 5-10 years. We wiped out much of their infrastructure for military and now have time to manage this deal all while keeping gas prices from going to $10 a gallon which would have ushered in a massive Dem majority in Congress - which would be like putting Iran in leadership of our country, again.

MAGA is a coalition, the largest sub-coalition within the Republican Party. MAGA is a choir. Some sing Soprano, some sing Bass, some Alto, some Tenor. Some are not professional singers and are off key... or don’t handle the rhythm well.

Some sing religious songs, some sing patriotic songs, some sing Country, some sing R&B.

JD Vance, Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz, Rick Jackson Republican candidate for GA Gov were anti-Trump before they were pro-Trump. My issues are Voter Fraud, Welfare Fraud & Immigration. Foreign wars are not my issue. For others, Foreign wars are a big issue.

Some are attracted to issues that tittilate and distract from serious issues. Epstein is a good example.

Most of us are color blind. We don’t discriminate for, or against, any race. A few are embarrassing us by thinking to not discriminate against one group is to discriminate in favor of the other group.

As the primaries are over, we need to build the COALITION. We need to welcome those who agree with us on some, but not all, issues. That is the only way we can win.

The soprano always wants to be the soloist and the feature singer in the choir. But sometimes others in the choir are best to take the lead for a chnge.

Vance is more sensible than Kelly, Levin, or Podhoretz. However, that doesn’t mean that Trump and Vance are right. Still, we only have one President and all alternatives were, and are, worse. Trump is our President. Pray for wisdom.

There aren't too many quotes in the article from JD. Can't watch the video right now to see what JD actually said.

But the author is correct.

Ironic. Sounds like Vance is directly addressing or describing the plethora of TDSing trolls here at FR that negatively pontificate about pretty much everything Trump (or Israel) does or says. Hmmm....

I listened to what Mark Levin said and he was not calling for endless war.
I don’t need JD Vance lecturing me on conservatism or maturity. If he was President Iran would have a nuclear weapon because he was against the military action. That’s why he got related to the fraud taskforce.

I’ve yet to see JD scold his bestest buddy Tucker Carlson who could use a good caning.

And then, there’s the ones that are only pretending to be ‘on the right’ so they can hang around a right-leaning forum and propagandize. They’re really good at projection.

We also see a whole lot of people unable to distinguish between TDS, and legitimate discussions/criticisms of things the President does. If you don't support every action he takes, or everything he says, you somehow become a DU stooge.
