Lydia Grant, president of the Sunland-Tujunga Neighborhood Council, announced that "funding for our annual Fourth of July parade has been pulled by Mayor Bass. We've been doing this parade for over 50 years. I was very shocked because the mayor herself said to contact her staff to get it done. Then they started ignoring us. This has never happened before."
Bass blamed Trump for the cancellation, saying "since President Trump has made such a big deal about this being the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence I felt duty bound to thwart his ambition to make this year's observation 'the biggest and best ever.'"
"A second factor that was brought to my attention is that the fourth of July means nothing to our huge population of Mexicans living in our state and city," Bass pointed out. "You know, our state and city used to be part of Mexico before the US took them by force after the Mexican-American War in 1848. I hope to be able to work with incoming Gov. Beccera to accomplish a reunification of our state and city with Mexico within the next four years."

That’ll show Trump who’s boss!
Mayor the Afrikaner Bigass stealing more taxpayer money.
Well it can’t be for fear of fireworks causing a fire....hell, everything’s already burned up.
Satire, I think.
So vote for raman-oodles then. Crazy town!
Bass is a lifelong communist. She breaks out in hives at the thought of free citizens in the USA loving America and cherishing the Republic.
So some people want to celebrate our country’s anniversary and other people hate America and want to break it into sanctuary cities and states. Sounds like the time of Ft. Sumter.
LA voters remain hard left: no surprise at all. And corrupt of course
They should be ashamed but aren’t.
THE BITCH WAS NEVER MAYOR IN 1848.
