BREAKING: Four Senate Republicans just joined Democrats to block one of President Trump’s key legislative priorities.
In a setback for the White House, GOP Sens. Susan Collins, Lisa Murkowski, Thom Tillis and Mitch McConnell broke with their party to help stop the SAVE America Act from advancing in the Senate.
The vote exposed a familiar divide inside the Republican conference, with concerns over the bill’s provisions outweighing pressure from Trump and GOP leadership.

McConnell and Tillis are both lame ducks.
Anyone notice how Thom Tillis and John Brennan look like
grumpy, joyless, scowly faced brothers? Resemblance is uncanny.

Never mind about 80% of the public, of all races and ethnic backgrounds (except liberal purple haired cat women), support the legislation.

People need to stop living in a fantasy world where the GOP wants to work with Trump or actively fight democrats. They gave Biden everything he wanted (they had chances to block, they did not and the gave votes when needed) and have blocked Trump in two different administrations now. It couldn’t be more obvious who they are.

We need a MAGA party. The D and R can combine, and shove it up their dupas.

Don’t forget. Tim Scott endorsed Murkowski in 2022 over her great, conservative primary opponent.
Tim Scott is another spineless McConnell acolyte.

I want to see Thune answer some questions directly about why Senator McConnell is voting increasingly like a Democrat. Who is leading this increasingly feeble man to vote against so many things that so many Republican support? I want an answer.
To: Tench_Coxe
Senate Republicans anointed Mitch McConnell as their leader for decades. And he is now a reliable vote for the Democrats. John Thune is not leader of the Senate Republicans by their vote - and he isn't even waiting to be turned out of leadership before openly opposing Trump in the Senate.
The Senate Republicans, by and large, are a disgrace. They campaign as conservatives to get elected because they know voters want conservatives. But true conservatives don't usually run for the Senate - they're too busy doing things that matter. Statists hungry for power run for the Senate - and once they're elected, the mask drops.
