I’ll say it again. Blacks can’t swim.
I like Spencer Pratt and he is getting a lot of good attention with these ads. But I worry that their tone is missing the mark. He needs a serious ad where he is in a suit, sits in front of the camera and talks like a serious politician about what he is going to do for the city. One where he takes on all the criticism about him having no qualifications and being a reality star. That needs to be the focus of his ads. Promoting himself as a serious candidate.
I think if he makes the run-off you’ll see more of that.

Pratt is also going into the neighborhoods, and meeting the people. Including a lot of folks who identify as Democrats.
California has elect both Ronald Reagan and Arnold Schwarzenegger to their highest offices. And various other Hollywood types to lesser offices, like Clint Eastwood was Mayor of his hometown, Carmel IIRC, because he saw problems that needed taking care of. But there have been others. To denigrate Pratt because he was a former TV star is being hypocritical...........

Recently he began hitting the national circuit, and he comes across seriously when being interviewed, and gives off-the-cuff serious excellent responses.

Clever ads but Pratt cannot and will not win. LA is a fetid hopeless sewer. The Demo-rats will swarm the polls and ballot boxes.
The serious ads will come. Right now Calif. is so flakey the voters attention spans are too short to pay attention so you end up with ethno-wordsmiths that can’t dazzle with their brilliance so they baffle them with BS.

I will make the case that this may be the most important election of all, even more important than the Congressional races, because if Pratt is successful, you will see similar campaigns in the other major cities.

Note "The Angry Birds Movie"--obvious reference--and "The Hunger", Which is about a Vampire who turns another women into a vampire and of course forms a Lesbian Relation. (There is a lot more to that ...look it up if you want.) Heavy Irony here....Bass, a lesbian, is the complete antithesis of the Hunger actesses and the Main Characters in the opera.
