A University of Alabama student apparently picked the wrong ex-girlfriend to allegedly beat up — when the victim’s dad, a Long Island cop, showed up the next day on his porch and had things to say that got him arrested as well.
Ryan DellaFranco, 20, allegedly attacked his 19-year-old ex-girlfriend inside his off-campus apartment, according to the Tuscaloosa Police Department, news outlets reported.
Police have been tight-lipped about the details, but not social media, according to the New York Post, which featured one online account in its coverage.
“He slammed her head into a toilet and was over top of her choking her,” a texter, only named as Ava, claimed in a text circulating on X.
“She hit him in the balls and grabbed her phone and ran away…He chased her and broke into her apartment,” the texter continued.
The victim called police about the incident, but no arrests were made on the scene. Police also showed up at a house near campus, which was caught on video that has also gone viral.

Don’t beat a woman with a dad or a brother.
A father just doing what he should.
Slip and fall accidents happen all of the time. HIS could be serious.
Rock on Daddyo!!! He should have zero problems with anyone in T-town. Heck, he probably won’t have to buy a single drink himself.
The dad violated my personal code: never get revenge face to face where you might get caught. The famous revenge books for decades have said to delay to response so it’s not obvious, shop in another city for equipment, set up the hit when no one can see you, and so on. Make ‘Em Pay by George Hayduke and five sequels.
Zackly.
Sounds like he was lucky. I see no injuries on him. Of course, a 10 or 15 minute lecture from dad while he has the barrel of dad’s .38 stuck in his mouth, might not leave any visible marks.

In this case, I think dad was more intent on sending an unmistakable message, and not too worried about getting caught.
Junior better wake up.
Alabama. His mugshot is missing multiple contusions and abrasions from justified battering. Kids lucky that he doesnt have permanent eye damage and hearing loss from head trauma.
My coworker at one time before I retired was the daughter of a newly retired deputy. When a drugged driver rammed into her car and put her in the hospital, he and several of his buddies tracked the culprit down and did a systematic round robin beating, knowing the most painful methods, not just punching. Not in the open. She and her dad were grateful to the loyal friends. I found the story inspiring. He was a good guy.
He’s the one I referenced here before for being in the K-9 unit and his dog was deliberately stabbed and slashed by a thug while the thug took the dog to a place past a railing above the deputies where they couldn’t stop him below as he hurt and killed the dog. The deputy’s daughter told me that’s the one thing no matter how long ago it was, that caused him to tear up. He loved that dog.
If it was my daughter, they would be measuring him for a pine box.
Just have a friend do it so you have an air tight alibi.
I’m just saying. . .
Raymond is guilty!! He did not go far enough!
If the father had been an illegal alien knuckledragger or a bacon eating muzzie, this would have been thrown out.
The dad obviously went to see the ex-boyfriend to peacefully talk things out. Then the crazy ex-boyfriend attacked the dad.
What other explanation can there be?
Side note: I hope the dad kept his mouth shut until he could talk to a lawyer.
Frodo
…or a good, quiet, keep-to-his-self friend.
The quiet ones are FAR more dangerous than some give credit.
