If anyone finds an extra mail in ballot laying in the street or in a trash can, fill one out for Hilton and the other for Bianco. Mail them both in.

So it’s an open primary where anyone can vote for a candidate of any political party?
Yup! And ONLY the top two candidates can be on the general election ballot for governor in November. Someone on this X thread suggested that in the case of TWO Republicans in the general election that the Democrats could designate someone as a write-in candidate but further down the thread someone else asked Grok if a write-in would be allowed according to CA law and Grok answered ...NO!
Come on now man, don’t you know some podunk local election in a left leaning district of Florida just flipped blue, it’s all over for republicans and Trump!!
Despair I tell ya, Despair!
This is so amazing because the rule was set in place to have a full communist state forever.
Hey Trump, please take back California! This is the foreign war!
Imagine if a Republican is elected governor of CA and within a year he SOLVES homelessness on the streets in that state that Newsom and the Dems have only talked about for years. Then imagine what a shmuck Newsom looks like when he runs for president just when a REPUBLICAN governor has solved homelessness on the streets within months while Newsom for his entire career was unable to do the same (except for a few days when Commie Xi Jinping visited San Francisco).
Watch the Slave Party axe a few candidates in completely undemocratic fashion.
I smell a 3am ballot dump coming and surprise surprise they ALL voted democrat.......why it’s a miracle!
They can't do it against their will. And NONE want to drop out.
One problem is that the losing candidates will make a big stink about it. You think a really ANGRY Porter would just stand by and allow Fartwell to take the slot that she thinks should be hers? Also Steyer has INVESTED a lot into the race.
The leaderboard displays a very short-term phenomenon.
Swalwell will end up getting 20% so he'll get 2nd place.
If they don’t get anyone to quit we just might have a chance. Hilton leads. That means Bianco needs more support. When the ballots get mailed out we need an army of volunteers to check in with all republicans. Calls and door knockers. Are we up to it? It looks like the democrats aren’t.
Okay Surrender Monkeys start screeching, but remember there is no run off. When the California rodents passed this idea they got from Louisiana’s rodents they didn’t bother with a run off provision. If Hilton gets the most votes he wins. The rodents are doing his job by attacking each other. WHOEVER GETS THE MOST VOTES, WITH HOWEVER SMALL THE AMOUNT, WINS THE ELECTION!
Um... No. There is NO run off after the open primary. What happens is that the #1 and #2 candidates from the OPEN primary face off against each other in the general election regardless of party.
In IL in the past, when too many candidates share the vote count, the vote counters shift votes from the minor candidates to the favored major candidate so that the unfavored candidate does not win.
Will CA learn from IL?
Correction. You are correct in that there is NO run off BUT this isn’t the end. The two top winners regardless of party face off against each other in the general election. In this case it could well be ONLY two Republicans in the general elections.
The final GOP candidate will only lose by 70%-30%.
I really wish Katie Porter would take the lead out of the Dems. If she did, it would guarantee a Republican victory. She is hated by so many people, even within the Dem Party, that probably half of the Dems would vote Republican if it was either Republican versus her.
