One of the interviewees, Dan Cook, on secreen for perhaps two seconds, is a great reason to watch this one.

Where did it strike? It will be interesting to see if locals capture photos of the rock and the crater. Will the Feds quarantine the area?

It didn’t continue to earth in one piece, It just blew up into fragments that were scattered over a wide area.

“NASA confirmed that a 7-ton asteroid, nearly 6 feet in diameter, entered Earth’s atmosphere over Lake Erie near Lorain, Ohio, around 8:57 a.m. on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, and fragmented over Valley City, Ohio, in Medina County.”

1919 bolide caused a surge of water up the channel in Grand Haven. Wikipedia kinda drops the ball on this and it isn’t worth the effort to try to edit in corrections. The account was in “Rain of Iron and Ice” back in the 1990s.

Yeah, the YT transcript generator has flaws. Medina County, and not spelled with an a, or rather, not with two a’s.
