... the U.S. and Israel’s major combat operations against Iran, announced by President Trump as Operation Epic Fury, are being miscast as “Iraq 2.0” and “regime change.” She cites Trump’s message to Iranians to “take over your government” and JD Vance’s statement that there is “no chance” of a years-long Middle East war, framing the strikes as targeted to stop Iran’s nuclear ambitions rather than an occupation. Barbara shows Iran’s leadership has long served a British-centered financial system rooted in the 1908 BP oil concession, reinforced by events such as the 1953 Mossadegh coup and the 1979 revolution. She says Trump’s recent policies—Abraham Accords, the “Board of Peace,” Gulf investment redirection, and designating the Muslim Brotherhood as terrorists—aim to dismantle that system, with Iran as the final obstacle amid escalating retaliatory strikes across the Gulf.

From the title:
The 118-year empire... No, the "empire" started at the 1979 revolution.
It's nice how the propagandists use the term "empire", freely changing their meaning of words as they see fit.

We also live in the era when somebody can pull sh!t out of their ass and make meritless trolling comments of posters they don’t like on the internet too.

Summary of the video transcript (from Barbara Boyd of Promethean Action, dated February 28, 2026):This is a commentary video arguing that the ongoing U.S.-Israel military strikes on Iran (announced by President Trump as Operation Epic Fury) are not a repeat of the 2003 Iraq invasion or traditional "regime change" via U.S. occupation and puppet installation.
Instead, Boyd frames them as the final step in dismantling a 118-year British financial empire's control over Iran and the broader Middle East.
Key points from Boyd's analysis:
- Trump's address to Iranians — Trump stated the strikes aim to eliminate threats from the "vicious" Iranian regime (citing historical crimes like the 1979 hostage crisis, Marine barracks bombing, and support for October 7 attacks). He urged the Iranian people: "When we are finished, take over your government. It will be yours to take. This will probably be your only chance for generations." Boyd emphasizes this differs from Iraq (where the U.S. dismantled the state apparatus), as Trump explicitly avoids promising U.S.-installed governance and leaves it to Iranians to seize power.
- Not Iraq 2.0 — Boyd contrasts it with Bush-era Iraq (full state disassembly leading to chaos/ISIS). She cites J.D. Vance's recent Washington Post comments assuring "no chance" of a prolonged "forever war," describing the strikes as targeted, lethal, and aimed at preventing nuclear weapons—not occupation of 90 million people. Trump reportedly learned from past mistakes (e.g., Venezuela approach).
- Historical context (British control) — Boyd claims Iran's governments (Shah and Ayatollahs alike) have served a City of London-centered financial system since 1908, when British interests (leading to BP) seized oil concessions. Key events include the 1953 CIA/British coup against Mossadegh (who nationalized oil), using Muslim Brotherhood elements, and acquiescence to Khomeini's 1979 revolution as another "puppet" shift. Regional wars (Sunni-Shia, Israel-Arab) allegedly sustain instability profitable for London (oil pricing, insurance, banking, money laundering).
- Trump's broader strategy — The strikes remove the last obstacle (the Mullahs) to Trump's "Board of Peace" (economic development-focused peace). Achievements include Abraham Accords extensions, redirecting $2+ trillion in Gulf wealth from London to U.S. manufacturing/AI/energy, designating Muslim Brotherhood as terrorists, rebuilding Gaza, and involving partners like Egypt's el-Sisi. Iran’s nuclear pursuit, missiles, proxies (Hezbollah, Houthis), and Strait of Hormuz threats block this architecture.
- Current situation — Strikes are early-stage; Iran has retaliated against U.S. assets in Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, UAE. Boyd warns of media/Democrat narratives calling it "madness" or regime change for political gain (e.g., midterms), while hiding the British angle.
- Call to action — Boyd promotes Promethean Action's newsletter and membership for ongoing analysis, framing this as ending British imperial influence and celebrating American independence.
Contextual note: This aligns with real-time reports of the February 28, 2026, U.S.-Israel operation against Iranian targets (nuclear/missile sites, leadership, military), Trump's direct appeal for internal uprising, and Iran's counterstrikes—though Boyd's interpretation heavily emphasizes a conspiratorial "British Empire" lens and pro-Trump "peace through construction" narrative. Mainstream coverage focuses more on nuclear prevention, regime pressure, and escalation risks.

It’s an interesting analysis and I might be prepared to accept some aspect of it.
But it should be noted that this is basically Lyndon LaRouche. He always blamed the British Monarchy for everything wrong in the world. Queen Elizabeth was always the head of the drug cartels, if I remember correctly.

Lyndon LaRouche
Have not heard that name in years.
Fwiw, there was a guy who would sit outside the local DMV office with signs, pictures etc, that pushed the LaRouche talking points.
Did it for years too, why the DMV and why he was allowed to set up shop there , right next to the main entrance , I’ll never know.

The channel posting this video is from Promethean Action, a PAC of the Larouche movement.
Lyndon Larouche's Golden Rule was blame the British for everything all the time.
