Stephen Colbert still has a late night show, but not for much longer. The cancelled, not-so-funnyman who hates guns, gun owners and the right to armed self-defense has suffered a precipitous ratings collapse in recent months years. What caused viewers to flee? Could it be his relentless alienation of over half of America with his insufferable woke scolding posing as comedy?
The Park Place has the grim news many of us view with a certain Schadenfreude delight:
The Stephen Colbert ratings freefall has reached an undeniable breaking point. As The Late Show with Stephen Colbert approaches its already-announced cancellation, the program is now posting record-low January numbers, marking one of the steepest late-night declines in recent television history.
According to Nielsen data reported this week, Colbert’s show is averaging roughly 285,000 viewers in the crucial 25–54 demographic, putting it on track for its worst January performance ever in the category that advertisers actually care about. With just months left before the curtain closes for good, the ratings trajectory suggests viewers have been checking out long before CBS formally pulled the plug.

Why he has any viewers at all is confounding.
“Why he has any viewers at all is confounding.”
probably soy boys and AWFULS ...
It appears the true believers aren’t supporting him for the most part. He’s laughing on the way to his bank, but you know it irks him that his core audience rejected him.
Of all those late-night clowns, I hate Colbert the most.
Why he has a program is confounding.
As the show approaches its terminus, the number of writers is likely dwindling, and not putting up their best stuff but instead saving that for their next job.

You can only say Orange Man Bad so many ways, so many times
You can’t really collapse from where he was.
Is it considered “illegal” to use a full-size of his picture for target practice at 800 yards?
Asking for a friend....LOL
His recent episode where he walks his face right into the camera in anger over speaker of the house Mike Johnson quoting Romans 13 was fairly persuade and completely unpersuasive. Colbert was trying to justify anti ice violence.
This ***hole’s departure date should be immediate.
How do we even know if the numbers are true? Entertainment is so fake I wouldn’t be surprised the numbers are faked in order to charge advertisers more than the time slot is worth.
Best idea is to tune those clowns out....forever.
He doesn’t hate guns; he hates you and me owning and carrying them.
Stephen Colbert gives empty suits a bad name. And he is the emptiest suit on late-night TV. A total non-entity.
“According to Nielsen data reported this week, Colbert’s show is averaging roughly 285,000 viewers in the crucial 25–54 demographic...”
It’s a small club and we ain’t in it.

Jon Stewart was around 12 years ago?
He stopped for a few years, tried to reignite the fire, and has never been able to find the right spark since.
His time was over. A new generation of Libs came with their own handpicked Heroes and Villains.
