Northwestern’s annual drag show included a performance featuring Catholic imagery, drawing scrutiny over how religious beliefs are treated on campus.
A drag performer dressed as the Pope appeared during Northwestern University’s annual drag show on Feb. 2 at Norris University Center, performing choreography that incorporated Catholic imagery while music played for a student audience.
The event was organized by the Society of Trans and Non-Binary Students and the Rainbow Alliance and promoted as a cultural experience for students, including those under 21, according to promotional materials shared on social media.

NOW DO MOHAMMED.... hypocrites....
Yeah. Why not a drag performer dressed as Muhammad.
He’s lucky the Catholic Church is not what it used to or he would be burned at the stake
They might but they don’t want their heads hacked off by some moozlum.
They mock at their own peril
-
2 Peter 3:3-7 NLT
[3] Most importantly, I want to remind you that in the last days scoffers will come, mocking the truth and following their own desires.
[4] They will say, “What happened to the promise that Jesus is coming again? From before the times of our ancestors, everything has remained the same since the world was first created.”
[5] They deliberately forget that God made the heavens long ago by the word of his command, and he brought the earth out from the water and surrounded it with water.
[6] Then he used the water to destroy the ancient world with a mighty flood.
[7] And by the same word, the present heavens and earth have been stored up for fire. They are being kept for the day of judgment, when ungodly people will be destroyed.
That’s something else which needs to be slowly, but steadily removed from the list of ‘acceptable performances’ at a public facility. This is more a matter of indoctrination vs lighthearted entertainment. The students will survive without happening on campus.
This pope and the previous one would consider it an honor.
I would think those who consider themselves religious wouldn’t be caught dead at a drag show. The perverts don’t have to answer to us, but they’ll be answering to the most powerful on their judgement day. As we all will.
“A drag performer dressed as the Pope appeared during Northwestern University’s annual drag show on Feb. 2 at Norris University Center”. Boys will be boys.
“A drag performer dressed as the Pope
The sad thing is it would probably be an improvement over the real Pope.
Exactly!
Burned at the Stake !
The Iron Maiden is more to my Liking.
This crappy pope probably approves. He loves the pedos and homos.
Disgusting and disrespectful
They’ll make him a cardinal.
Mocking one of their own. Leo more likely to seek an audience with this performer to find new truth through dialogue than anything else.
Concerned about getting the Charlie Hebdo treatment, eh?
Not hypocrite... POOOOSIE and COWARD!!! They know that Catholics and Christians won’t do anything, moslems would cut his throat after beating him for a while.
If administrators knew that a drag performer was going to portray Mohammed, they would probably prohibit it. If it happened without their foreknowledge, they would be full of apologies to the “Muslim community” and the offending student would face serious consequences, i.e., suspension or expulsion.
