It has been revealed that anti-ICE agitator Alex Pretti, who was fatally shot by Border Patrol in Minneapolis on Saturday, broke his rib one week before the fatal shooting.
Sources told CNN that Pretti suffered a broken rib around a week prior to being shot after a group of federal agents tackled him. The incident began when Pretti stopped his car after he observed ICE agents allegedly chasing a family on foot. The source said Pretti began shouting and blowing his whistle.
Pretti had allegedly told the source that five federal agents tackled him and leaned on his back, leaving him with a broken rib. Pretti was released at the scene.
The source said, "That day, he thought he was going to die." Records reviewed by CNN showed that Pretti was later given medication that was consistent with treating a broken rib.
A neighbor has said that Pretti was part of a neighborhood anti-ICE Signal chat, and it has been revealed that Pretti was part of a group of around 50 agitators who had turned up to confront Border Patrol agents while they were carrying out the arrest of a criminal illegal alien on Saturday.
Border Patrol head Greg Bovino has said that Pretti had been armed with a nine-millimeter semi-automatic handgun. "The agents attempted to disarm the individual, but he violently resisted. Fearing for his life and the lives and safety of fellow officers, a Border Patrol agent fired defensive shots. Medics on the scene immediately delivered medical aid to the subject, but the subject was pronounced dead at the scene. The suspect also had two loaded magazines and no accessible ID. This looks like a situation where an individual wanted to do maximum damage and massacre law enforcement."
