I always saw Samantha Powers as a delusional but committed leftist. I didn’t see her in craven pursuit of money unless it was to be a means to an end. So in a way, to proffer this story without reference to where the money went leaves me wondering about the accuracy of the article’s implied scope.

Don’t underestimate the effect this will have, or not have, depending on your point of view, US voting. I see a lot of what Trump is doing as killing what the MSM would call “Delusional Right-Wing Conspiracies.” Trump appears to be dismantling much of the voter fraud apperatus and confiscating the funding while calling it something else.
Democrats in Congress seem to be protesting most loudly. That is where I would shine the spotlight. Them and the NGOs.
