Suspicions were raised around the internet as Wormtongue's X account was revealed to have been created in Isengard.
Gríma, son of Gálmód, who goes by the handle "@Real_Grima6701" on X, has long been the trusted chief advisor to the sick-of-late King Théoden. He had always been esteemed as a loyal and faithful advisor in all the land of Rohan until the grey wizard Gandalf petitioned X to roll out their new "about this account" transparency feature which displays the country from which an account primarily operates based upon factors like download location and activity patterns.
Now when users click on the "about this account" feature for the ‘Wormtongue' account, they are informed that this account is based in Isengard, that ancient fortress built by the Númenóreans to guard the Gap of Rohan in former days.
"These are outlandish and poisonous lies, and I won't hear any more of this," claimed Wormtongue on X. "I am petitioning the customer support team at X to explain how this label was placed on my account and arresting all these rabblerousers who insist on perpetuating this lie as traitors to the King."
"This is an unfortunate series of events and it is causing the good people of Rohan to doubt my undying loyalty to our king during his time of need."
At publishing time, Gríma was hoping that this "nonsense" chatter on X wouldn't affect in any way his intentions to propose to the fairest noblewoman Éowyn.
I was so relieved when he told us that Windows 10 would be the last one we’d ever need.
He should have used a virtual palantír network to hide his location.
Pippin is on the case....
Pippin?!
Better call in Treebeard because This Is War
You’re not one of the missing Entwives, are you? Harumph....
