On Wednesday's Morning Joe, Joe Scarborough sought to present himself as the kindly, non-partisan political consultant, saying he had warned Republicans not to overreach after their 2024 victories, or imagine they'd occupy the White House forever.
How phony. That was just cover for his gloating proclamation that Republicans didn't listen to him:
"And if you go too fast, voters will knock you on your ass immediately. And that's what happened yesterday."
Democrat ex-senator Claire McCaskill didn't even bother trying to disguise her glee, saying of President Trump: "Yeah, I'd say he's on his ass."
Morning Joe proceeded to give the shortest, most misleading, of shrifts to the victory of Democrat Jay Jones in the Virginia attorney general race.

It’s disgusting that Scarborough or any other Democrat would gloat and taunt Republicans right after an election.
What’s great about Democrats winning in deep blue states that Trump didn’t win in 2024?
Democrat voters are wired differently than we are.
They don’t care about candidates or issues, they care about the Revolution.
I’m still trying to wrap my brain around Virginia.
because of NoVa, govt workers, soccer moms and illegals, that state is now permanently in the blue column. Four years ago, I thought with the GOP sweep of the constitutional offices that maybe the state was waking up.
But apparently not.
They know have a Governor-elect who thinks that gender-free bathrooms and locker rooms are OK, a Lt. Governor-elect who is Muslim and an AG-elect who wishes death upon his opponents.
I’ve heard conflicting stories about Winsome Sears’ campaign. Some have said she was a bad candidate and that that her commercials were bad. Others have said there was no political polish in her.
Jefferson, Washington, Byrd, etc must be rolling over in their graves at what has happened to their state.
The rats haver been more motivated. We better wake up. It has been series of losses since Trump won. We are beyond the “outlier” territory now

We all knew the outcomes, except for New Jersey. These were all democrat strongholds. And we all knew the media would gloat over it and exaggerate in out of all proportion.
However, in New Jersey, the Republicans who did not vote are not blameless.
Exactly right. Right now Newsome will beat Vance and overturn all of Trump;s good work. The GOP is losing the fight, again.
