Michelle Obama really wants you to know she's a victim. That's been the theme for her over the last several years, whether it be during interviews or on her incredibly grating podcast. Most recently, speaking to ABC News "journalist" Gayle King, who is always chosen for these softball sessions for a reason, the former First Lady decried her time in the White House, claiming she and her family were given a "lack of grace" that other presidential families received.
KING: "We were all too aware that as the first black couple, we couldn't afford any mistakes." And you also say that as a black woman, "I was under a particularly white hot glare." Did you feel that?
OBAMA: For sure. You can't afford to get anything wrong because you didn't get the, and at least until the country got to know us, we didn't get the grace that I think some other families have gotten.
I'm sorry, what? I was alive during the Obama years, and one of the things that stuck out to me was just how much grace they were given. They could literally do no wrong. Every mainstream media outlet endlessly fawned over every move Barack and Michelle Obama made. They were plastered on the covers of designer magazines while journalists admired the creases in their pants. Every scandal was swatted in favor of endless jubilation at their presence in the White House.
Where was this "lack of grace" at? And are we to believe that the Trump family or even the Bush family received more deference? In what way? The Trump family has been dragged through the mud, up a hill, and back down again. Even the Bush family was routinely attacked in the press, including their then-teenage daughters....

I confess that I watch Michelle’s podcast every once in a while. Every once in a while, she sounds like she is making sense. Then she veers off into “its so hard for me” and I just laugh. She is the most un-self-aware woman in the world.
“I should be above criticism and therefore if I make outrageous, controversial remarks and get criticized for them, I’m a victim.”
And she calls others “privileged.”
Michelle O really NEEDS to be a “victim.”
She cant ever be a normal h/b.....
she has to nitpick everything
and regurgitate the “ghetto whine”
to remind us she’s a minority girl
who accidentally got into the WH.
She’s nowhere without an axe to grind.
,,, she’s simply unable to adjust to a post White House existence. If anything, she needs grace enough to avoid an interview like this one. It showcases her constraint within terms of race, despite having been in the country’s top position. She really needs to run the numbers, highlighting that she and Sotero got there, before she holds out a begging bowl for sympathy. Sad.

Keep in mind, Obama criticized black men for voting again a black woman in 2024 and he is actively campaigning against a black woman in 2025.
