CNN's Audie Cornish Suggests: Apologize To Pro-Hamas Student Protesters!

Even in what you might call the mainstream liberal media, you'd have to look far and wide to find outspoken support for the often-violent, blatantly antisemitic, pro-Hamas student protesters that have plagued American colleges in recent times.
But look no further than CNN This Morning and its host, Audie Cornish, formerly of NPR. Last week, reacting to a poll showing a majority of Americans opposing sending more weapons to Israel, and supporting sending humanitarian aid to Gaza, we caught Cornish saying:
"There's a whole bunch of students out there who are probably like, hey, thanks for coming around."
Cornish was back at it on the show's Tuesday episode. As she put it to former George W. Bush aide Ashley Davis:
"Are those students owed an apology, the ones who were out on campuses demanding a ceasefire, saying more needs to be done about the war, and they were societally punished for it?"

They werent demanding a ceasefire- they were chanting for Israel to be obliterated.

CNN takes a step back from reforming its line up by hiring another DEI dope from NPR no less. Correspondents like Jessica Shrek on The Five have been using fake polls to claim left wing policies are popular. Fake, fake, fake.

Just , , how exactly , were “ punished “ ?
They were, and continue to be, allowed to do what ever they want.
Disagreeing with them is punishing them ?
Legion media 🥨 logic.
How about a Hamas apology for murdering every child taken hostage Oct. 7th ?
LEGION MEDIA indeed.

It was never about “aid”, Israel has always been sending aid. The reason for the strife is and has been humus and their violence and hatred

Please forgive me...
I am so sorry I criticized Hamas for murdering 364 un-armed Israeli civilians at a Music Festival, three miles from the Gaza Strip.
And, I am so sorry I criticized Hamas for taking 250 Israeli civilian hostages and murdering at least 80 of them.
I allowed myself to be influenced by people who actually thought those events were War Crimes!

from the article:
"...a poll showing a majority of Americans opposing sending more weapons to Israel, and supporting sending humanitarian aid to Gaza..." Sure, a poll of major university professors, Hollywood and media personality types who oppose Israel and support terrorists.
What else is new?
Well...
- Serious US aid to Israel began in the late 1960s and has run at about $4 billion per year, in today's equivalent dollars, ever since.
- The current 10-year agreement with Israel expires in 2028, and discussions have begun on renewing it for another 10 years beginning in fiscal 2029 (Oct. 1, 2028).
- After October 7, 2023, Congress approved an additional ~$21 billion in aid to Israel.
As of today, there are no new Israel aid supplementals on the table for Congressional actions. - There are discussions about partnerships and joint ventures with Israeli defense technology companies, deals which may need Congressional approval before 2028, but none of those have yet surfaced in public debates.
So the whole poll framing about military aid to Israel vs. humanitarian aid to Gaza is bogus.
- Israel will continue to receive long-approved aid (currently ~$4 billion/year), with long-term future aid possibly restructured to reflect new international realities.
- US aid to Gaza (most of it indirect) ran around $100 million per year before October 2023.
Since October 2023, US humanitarian aid to Gaza is less than $50 million per year.
In June 2025, the Trump administration approved $30 million in humanitarian aid to Gaza.
There are currently requests to increase US humanitarian aid to Gaza to $150 million per month, but nothing so far has reached the stage of Congressional debate or actions.
I doubt seriously if Pres. Trump will approve that level of funding for humanitarian aid, though he may well support plans to help rebuild Gaza in Trump's image of its ideal future.
