Mary Grace Westman, the mother of the transgender Minneapolis mass shooter and child killer Robin Westman appears to have fled and is not cooperating with police.

If she is a white woman, no wonder she fled and is in hiding and not cooperating. That could charge her and the father like the shooter in Joliet IL. They locked up both parents for a long time.

Bingo. Mom had to transfer the kid to take spite on Dad. Kid shoots up church school where mother worked, to spite Mom. A real healthy, thriving bunch.

All three of my children graduated from University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. Two stoll live there as thriving adults, well employed, and want to stay there. The other is in Seattle as an attorney. The trans crowd and the Somali crowd are everywhere there. My kids get very angry with me when I question the cashiers at Target being dudes pretending to be ladies, so I don't ask now.

Minneapolis is also the birthplace of much of the Covid vaccine research. The CEO of Moderna was the key note speaker at my youngest graduation from U of M. (2022)

She petitioned the court to “change” Robert’s gender when he was 17.

BREAKING: The mother of Robin Westman has obtained a criminal defense attorney, according to Fox News.

Mary Grace Westman is reportedly not cooperating with investigators after her son opened fire on Catholic children.

Attorney Ryan Garry says his client is "completely distraught about the situation and has no culpability but is seeking an attorney to deal with calls like this," he told Fox.

Mary Grace Westman applied for her son to change his name in 2019, according to court documents, which said the "minor identifies as female and wants her name to reflect the identification."

I read a book by Sue Klebold, the mother of one of the Columbine shooters. After the shooting, she fled her home and lived in the basement of friends. She had been suddenly besieged by press as well as threats while grieving the loss of her son. Her stress level was off the scale.

She later got cancer and her marriage collapsed.

Anyway, I wouldn’t rush to judgment about how this shooter’s mom is behaving. Retaining a lawyer makes sense, as she might get sued. And she may be in such a bad emotional state that she’s not capable of cooperating at the moment. It’s easy to point fingers, but she’s living a nightmare right now.

The shooter was probably one reason the parents divorced.
The dad noticed the kid was not right and came down on him.
The mother wouldn’t have it and protected the deranged kid.
In the pic I saw, the mother definitely favored the kid and the kid was as far from the dad as possible.

I read that book too.
You’re right, whatever her role was in what her child did she’s living in a nightmare right now. She probably had friends who still worked at the school. Retaining legal council, and not talking to the police or media without the attorney present, and probably not talking to them at all even with an attorney for a few days, is the right thing to do.

I don’t have much sympathy for her and she does bear some or even a lot of responsibility here but there’s no upside for her to talk to police.
