I was an involuntary member of Weingarten‘s union (the AFT) for many years.

Now here’s the interesting thing. I never got to vote for the AFT president, or for any of the union’s national or state officers. These folks are a chosen at conventions. Delegates to those conventions are hand-picked ahead of time. Just like how Stalin used to do it.
