And not just any random DOJ interviewer, either. They didn’t send some junior prosecutor with a legal pad who used to work for Maurene Comey.

Good article. I’ve been unhappy with a lot of the Epstein news but articles like this help me calm down.
Could this have been 4-D chess to create such a demand for the files that the Democrats could not run interference?
Totally agree about Childers and his column. I may not read it every day, but I do read it often. He has a great mind, and I learn a lot from him.

This past Monday, right on the heels of Tulsi's bombshell, CNN had a piece written by a Democrat operative to do damage control. One of their arguments was that the Steel dossier only appeared in the annex and not in the actual body of the assessment. Well, now we know that the assessment referenced the Steel dossier with a bullet point pointing to the annex.
No doubt the Democrat conspirators were careful to keep the dossier out of the assessment proper as a CYA, but they had to have their cake and eat it too so they put that bullet point in there. Unfortunately for them, Trump's DOJ isn't going to let them hide behind that fig leaf, which is part of why things are now getting *complicated* for them, as the article points out.
You are correct. It involves some prominent Republicans, but more importantly, it involves captains of industry and world political leaders.
That makes this an “international” problem. Let's look at the UK's Prince Andrew as the obvious example. In his youth Andrew was know in the media as “Randy Andy” for his treatment of women. Compromising Prince Andrew was a way of having a Deep State (read that Intelligence Agencies) sponsored Epstein be able to blackmail and exert influence over the Royal Family of the UK.
Other foreign political names include a former head of Israel.
The most obvious political leader and “horn dog” was Bill Clinton, who had a long record of abusing women, both in Arkansas and WA DC.
Then we have the rich captains of industry that once had influence over much of the world. For example, Bill Gates, whose Microsoft and knowledge of software security flaws could allow Intelligence Agencies the ability to do all kinds of things.
Bill in his early bachelor days in the Seattle area was known to frequent strip clubs and at the end of the night bring a bunch of strippers home with him to get naked and swim for his and his pals in his pool. Bill also stepped down from MicroSoft after the Board of Directors investigated him for sexual pressuring female subordinates.
I believe that Epstein sought out the morally weak and that he was sponsored by a number of intelligence agencies who wanted to get politicians and captains of industry into situations where they could be manipulated by blackmail. In particular I believe that the CIA, MI-5, Mossad, and the entire 5-Eyes group, were backing Epstein.
Because of this foreign intelligence connection, I am sure that the CIA, and foreign intelligence agencies of “allies” are all screaming to the CIA, Trump, FBI, and anyone who will hear them that if too many details are released, the USA will loose all cooperation from foreign intelligence agencies.
I would rather loose that foreign intelligence from so-called allies than allow the Epstein story to be covered up. Yes, but if the truth be told, and those countries are “true” allies, then the rift will be healed and they will know that the USA values truth and honesty.
I just saw the AD that the Left is using to slam Trump, who is pictured as a young man...OMG, he was gorgeous...
