In a jaw-dropping move late Monday, House Republicans once again slammed the door shut on transparency, voting 7‑5 in the Rules Committee to block Rep. Ro Khanna’s amendment that would have forced Attorney General Pam Bondi and the Department of Justice to publish all Epstein‑related files publicly.
..... Snip.....
Here are the names of the U.S. Representatives who voted “No” to releasing the Epstein files:
Virginia Foxx (R-NC) Nick Langworthy (R-NY) Austin Scott (R-GA) Morgan Griffith (R-VA) Brian Jack (R-GA) Michelle Fischbach (R-MN) Erin Houchin (R-IN)

They only care about making each other look bad. If the dems were a majority the Republicans would be voting to release just to force the Dems to vote against it.
They all pull this kind of crap all day long about everything.
Barak was the HEAD of Aman which is the Israeli equivalent to the DIA (Defense Intelligence Agency).
He led Sayeret Matkal which is equivalent to the combination of Seal Team Six/MI6/CIA special forces.
He founded Paragon which is an intelligence gathering / spying / cyberwarfare company.....https://www.ynetnews.com/business/article/ryc4uibikl
Perhaps you didn’t know this information and you simply made a mistake or perhaps you were intentionally lying.
“”I am confident President Trump will fix this.
He should because it is a very serious matter—and the Democrats will hang us by our fingernails if he does not.””
Yes, but “how” to fix it? Looks like he is damned if he does and damned if he doesn’t... yet another Catch-22 scenario that has been created. My take... all he had to do was reign in Bondi and the FBI to NOT promise full transparency on this issue until all angles had first been studied and analyzed. Oh well....
This Indian scumbag foreign agent is trying to stop the crypto bill, THE last chance for the stable(coin) genius to keep the dollar from dying it’s inevitable death. Keep arming Ukraine and Israel, though. Keep spending trillions on illegals. Keep making bigger beautifuller bills…
Here is how I would fix it:
1. Fire Bondi (I know the hundred reasons not to do it—but I would do it anyway.) A scapegoat is needed and she is picked.
2. The new acting Attorney General gets to give an “accountability and transparency” speech and promises to reopen the files and start from scratch.
3. Find some stuff to release that does not harm the innocent, national security or potential future cases.
4. Indict and convict a wealthy, powerful and/or prominent person. Best case something in the files helps with that case—even if it is just one minor detail. Then you claim the Epstein files helped you with the indictment.
That is all totally doable.
The perfect is the enemy of the good.
This vote may not have occurred at all if DOJ had had a better release strategy. They botched it badly.
“The Republicans are the stupid party.”

Some things never change. LOL
Five Republicans on the take.
“It is causing trouble for Trump “
Most people don’t care; a non-issue for them.

A job and family
I thought the Democrats were opposed to releasing the Epstein files. Why have they had such a change of heart on this?
The same reason you sometime see democrats voting for conservative legislation that they know won’t get passed.
Here's the text of the amendment: https://amendments-rules.house.gov/amendments/KHANNA_037_xml250714123037175.pdf
Less than one percent of the public will decide who controls the House of Representatives in 2026.
Even if an issue is irrelevant to 99% of the public it could become critical if used as the basis for mass advertising in the relatively few swing districts.
The Democrat ads on this topic are already written.
My thoughts on your points:
1. I would be extremely surprised if Trump fired Bondi now... considering how he has just recently reiterated what a great job (paraphrasing) she has done. He really, really likes her for some reason. At first, I thought we should give her a chance to prove herself. 6 months in, I’m not too awfully impressed (no high-profile arrests, no frog-marches, etc.), but then... she IS taking orders from Trump... right?
2. That ‘full transparency’ that Laura Trump just promised may be yet another unfulfilled wet dream of ours. It does not jive with what Trump is saying, IOW.
3. You would just release low-level, non-relevant or non-pertinent evidence then? I don’t think that would work. Trump supporters/MAGA... ie we are not that dumb to fall for a decoy like that. Sorry.
4. Well ‘somebody’ needs to be indicted, for hellsakes. Considering all the known criminals still running around free as birds (or the vultures that they are)... it would be a refreshing change of pace.
Everything is “doable”. The question always remains, however..... ‘should’ it be done?
No. Absolutely not. No redacting. Trust in all gov’mt is at the level of civil war. If yah talk about transparency and then say “nevermind” you just betrayed your base.
DJT is making the same fatal mistake he did in term 1 when he correctly turned over Wuhan/Flu crappola to Fauci. Good decision, since he and his ilk were renown as experts. But, his mistake was not circling back when complaints arose about the honesty of Fauci/etal. DJT is doing the same thing with Bondi. No domestic or foreign policy/agreement is more important than protecting our children.
If he doesn’t turn his head around on this, MAGA is doomed and I am done with him.
My answer is—if anyone has better alternatives than mine put them out there.
Sometimes life is about picking the best of mediocre alternatives.
MAGA rules.
“My answer is—if anyone has better alternatives than mine put them out there.”
It is called the MAGA train. Get on it.
They were the DOGS that DIDN"T BARK!
The communists are playing “poker” with the republicans.
They know the republicans won’t allow it to be released and will vote it down.
They’ll then use that in upcoming campaign fodder.
The republicans should call their bluff and say; “ok...let’s do it” And release every communist name first.
Thank you Chewbarkah —
The story was from Gateway Pundit, but my “Spidey” antenna were rotating as they sensed it was not a simple up/down vote on release.
I remember the Boland Amendment well. In Oklahoma we constitutionally enacted a requirement that all legislation must contain only relevant topics. No wooly boogers or feather bedding. I helped write it, and won the first case against flouting the change years ago. I’ve often thought that similar legislation would be good for the US Congress. It would be the end of 1,000 page bills.
