I think I get the general drift of what you are saying.

IMO accountability and liability will be about the same as with the Covid debacle. Covid is just to big with too many major players to be held responsible for anything. We are rushing head first into AI just like Covid. A major difference is AI is a new technology, and many people just love new tech and will buy into it knowing it’s not yet perfected.

I read some news article the other day where there was a disclaimer stating it was written by AI and may have mistakes. I’ve read some of the AI generated crap it it’s awful. The same imperfections apply to anything AI is used for.

I hate AI...I google and I get a half a.. answer and hunt down what I asked in the first place.

And stores...stop using AI..it's a pain and I always wind up bypassing and using 10 extra steps to get to a real person.

The only consideration that you seemed to have avoided, is that AI is being developed in other nations, such as China that will not take on the issues you brought up at all, because they will not limit themselves in the march towards AI dominance. The genie is out of the bottle, and getting him back into the bottle is the problem.

Used for good, AI could be beneficial to humanity, but there surely will be those who will use it to enrich themselves with both power & incredible wealth which most likely will be detrimental to humanity.

If you put restrictions on our developers, then you automatically benefit China who will do no such thing, because evil has no impact on them.

This is why the issue is far more complex I'm afraid, even though you have made valid points. 🙂👍
