Could President Donald Trump officially recognize Palestine as an independent state on his trip to the Middle East? That’s what some analysts are predicting as a lively debate rages in the Arab media sphere over just how far the U.S. president will go while abroad.
There had already been some writing on the wall that Trump’s Middle East tour — which includes visits to Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates — was not coming in the midst of a period of unalloyed harmony between the administration and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Hebrew-language Israeli media reported Thursday that “the U.S. president is disappointed with Prime Minister Netanyahu” after he pressured now-former National Security Advisor Mike Waltz to sign off on an all-out military action by Israel against Iran.
The Washington Post also reported that, prior to a White House meeting between Trump and Netanyahu in March, Waltz looked to be “engaged in intense coordination with Netanyahu about military options against Iran,” something Trump opposed

Trump should recognize JORDAN as Arab Palestine, since that is what it is.

Palestine could remain occupied by Israel.
Or it could be recognized as its own country.
Or it could be absorbed into Israel.
No good options there. The first one is probably the best. The last one is definitely the worst (for demographic reasons).
Don’t do it, Mr. President! Once recognition is given, it will only encourage more terror!

A guest on Hugh Hewitt last week speculated that Trump’s “big announcement” might be Saudi Arabia joining the Abraham Accords. That seems more likely to me than Trump recognizing a Palestinian state.
It’s possible the UK trade deal was the big news, but I doubt it. Saudi Arabia signing a peace deal with Israel would indeed be worthy of the build up.
Biggest mistake of either of Trump’s terms if he does that.
The mythical “Palestinians” have been offered a “Palestinian state” many times over the years, and have always turned it down.
The “Palestinians” don’t want their own “state.”
They want Israel erased from the face of the Earth and all Jews exterminated, and will settle for nothing less.

The only Palestinian State that the rag heads will accept is all of Israel - Gaza was a Palestinian state and look what they did with that one. Israel will no more accept giving up its land than Putin will stop his war.
Not going to happen. Maybe he’ll piss off Jordan, by correctly identifying Jordon proper (not the so called “West Bank” which has been known since Roman Empire times as Judea/Samaria, and is in Israel). After all, the Roman Empire named the hated area of thousands of years of Jewish habitation, as ..”Palestine” as propaganda against their constant warfare with the Jewish inhabitants.
Send them to Madagascar. There’s plenty of money out there for it.
