The coalition campaign in this election has been shocking - incompetent, flatfooted, timid, incoherent and today we saw Liberals (in Australia the major conservative party is called the Liberal Party) ......
If the coalition draws the wrong lesson ..... it risks being destroyed ....... and already I do hear fake autopsies being written like this today by the Prime Minister: "The Liberal Party has become more and more right wing under Peter Dutton ,,,,,"
In fact Dutton isn't of the hard right or certainly hasn't shown it ....... he isn't even offering bigger tax cuts than Labor (the governing party) is ......
It was when Dutton was being the so-calleed cultural warrior saying No to Labor's racist (pro-aboriginal) plan for The Voice for instance that he was destroying Labor. That is why he started this year ahead in the polls saying that he'd cut immigration ....... he'd even announced this plan for those nuclear power stations ..........
Since then he's crashed. ....... Labor ran a campaign of lies that Dutton's a Trump.
I said from the start the Dutton should have picked a fight with Trump to tackle that lie and seem his own man. He wouldn't.
The coalition seemed unable to call out Labor's lies.
I think that's because the coalition had lost the courage of its convictions.
This (Labor) government has slashed living standards, slashed our defences, weakened our electricity system and let in a million immigrants making housing unaffordable for the poor.
There was nothing that was definitively conservative (in the coalition's message).
It wasn't that their policies were too right wing. It was that they stopped arguing for them.
They stopped showing that they were people of conviction.

Bottom line - in much of the West, people only THINK they have the freedom to elect someone that represents their values...they don’t.

I can’t believe it. The little socialist, all hat and no cattle, won. And we can’t blame electronic counting machines or fake ballots. Aussies will regret this when the blackouts hit.

I would think the soaring energy costs in Germany and other parts of Europe as well as the recent blackouts in Spain and Portugal would serve as bellwethers warning that rapid change in energy policy direction is needed.
Australia like Canada is sunk.
A friend who owns farmland in Canada says he’s selling his land as they love their socialism so much they will never get out of it. His farm is being taxed to the point he cannot profit, and he knows the taxes go to support the socialist freebies.
Like Californians, they keep voting for their own misery. I suspect the Aussies are no different.
I am so happy the great citizenry of this great nation woke up and outvoted election fraud and gave us Trump.
The candidate has to inspire sufficiently to get the jaded to step up.
