Let this video be your warning to NEVER go on a computer date because even if she turns out to good looking, there is an excellent chance you will end up with someone who has gone Full Mental Jacket. Oh, and avoid blind dates as well. Those almost never work out. Ol' PJ once knew a woman who looked like Sophia Loren who set me up on a blind date with her sister. I figured the sister must also give off the same Sophia Loren vibes so imagine my SHOCK when the door opened to my blind date who looked exactly like ...Nikita Khrushchev. And that was just the start of my night of HORROR. Yes, it's funny now to tell the story of what happened but at the time, I was in a world of disgust and MISERY.
So this is my PSA. NEVER date any woman who you haven't personally seen AND talked to first.
Reminds me of the old Cat Stevens lyrics from “Another Saturday Night”: ‘Another fella told me
He had a sister who looked just fine
Instead of being my deliverance
She had a strange resemblance
To a cat named Frankenstein’.
How about #1 and #2?
“Better to focus not on looks but on character”
What country you living in my friend?.....certainly not this one. Lol!
Met wife the old fashioned way, Match.com.
First date was on Halloween and a disaster because I locked my keys in my car about 15 minutes before we were to meet, and I was a couple miles away. Following 3 hours were worthy of a first rate comedy screenplay as I was texting her what I was going thru to get back in my car as she slowly gave up hope and got ready for bed. Finally met for 30 minutes at a bar near where she lived at 11pm (she got dressed again) just to meet face to face. She felt so bad for me I got a second date. Been married 9 years now.
Very nice!
LMAO, you’re really clever.
Good thought. Upon reading the headline, my first two thoughts were: Putin, Arkanacide
Garbage men make good money.
Back in 1965 FSU and UofF partnered with a computer matching program.
Each person that entered was given three names at their university and three from the other university.
I was at FSU. One of the names I got from UofF was a girl I had dated years before.
If she has a dual core processor that could be a plus.
Way cool! Murphy’s law often kicks in on dates but you snatched victory from the jaws of Murphy’s law.
I speak from experience. You young uns, you will understand what I am saying eventually.
I would bet a faith based dating site would attract an entirely better class of clientele from the start. You’d have to be an idiot to think you could fake the faith or get lucky on the first date. Christian based sites probably have the best marriage rates with the most longevity.
Met my first wife on a Christian site. She was a malignant narcissist.
I only went on one blind date. She was anorexic. Luckily it was a double date
The lighting downstairs was much better than in the bar and suddenly she was not as attractive as I had thought.
****
Ah, she was a two-face. (Seinfeld reference)
Oh I know exactly what you’re saying...which is why my dating/engagement time span to my eventual wife was 2 1/2 plus years before I proposed.......and that will have been 33 years ago come this July.
:)
