Sleeves creep me out. But I've seen some sleeves and whole leg tattoos that I had to admire for the artwork and the labor it had to take to make them.

I remember years ago watching an episode of that reality show Ozzy Ozbourne had on MTV with his family. His moronic son had come wandering in to tell his dad he wanted a tattoo. Ozzy just looked at him and said "You want to be different? Don't get a tattoo." That stuck with me to this day.

The only tattoos on my body are two dots used to line up the linear accelerator that put 3000 RAD through my gut for cancer treatment in 1985.

My current employer sent me on many business trips to foreign countries. I was counseled to avoid tattoos as they work to your disadvantage if you have the misfortune of being captured by bad actors. I didn't have much concern in Europe, but the trip to Turkey was less comfortable. It was clearly different when the dark blue NATO bus picked me up at the hotel with guards front and rear armed with 9mm sub-machineguns. The hazard at that time was PKK.
