Representative Joe Wilson (R-SC) has announced that he’s drafting legislation to create a $250 bill featuring President Trump.
Rep. Wilson wrote in a post on X, “Grateful to announce that I am drafting legislation to direct the Bureau of Engraving and Printing to design a $250 bill featuring Donald J. Trump. Biden-flation has destroyed the economy, forcing American families to carry more cash.”
Wilson added, “Most valuable bill for most valuable President!”
A policy advisor for Rep. Wilson shared the amount of $250 was chosen to commemorate the United State’s 250th anniversary in 2026.

Just put Trump on the $50 as it’s probably only worth $47 nowadays ...
Marvelous! Do it! I’ll collect some!
How 'bout a Cougar? Asking for a friend.
They can issue a Forever Stamp....make it a stamp that says 45 and 47
I thought Ulysses S. Grant already had that one taken?
I think that would work. I just know portraits of living Presidents are not allowed on stamps or legal tender currency.
They need to make a nice round number, like $256.
No...since 2011 living presidents can be put on stamps...but not currency
Bill Gates is on a stamp. Lady Gagme or Gaga or something like that is on a stamp.
Got it. Hmmm... 2011 who was President then? /rhetorical question.
No living presidents on money please.
Cougar = Puma
Grizzly Bear is the one I left out
(We are Republic not an empire.)
Trump would make an excellent Emperor!
Emperor Trump!
stupid idea - a GOP rep just trying to insure DJT support the next time her runs. Congress has tons of much more serious things to attend to. Hope the speaker tables the motion.
I like the design and would just change 45th to 47th.
The obsolete $500 bill had President William McKinley on it. The last obsolete $1000 bill had President Grover Cleveland. $5000 was James Madison; $10,000 Andrew Jackson. There was a $100,000 bill for inter-bank use featuring Woodrow Wilson (gack).
Sounds like an expensive waste of taxpayer dollars.
Eliminating the penny, good idea. Saves taxpayer dollars.
Bring back 500s and 1000s
