Between 1935 and 1945 the UK did not have a popular election or any election. The election scheduled for 1940 was canceled. Why? War with Germany and Italy. Zelensky has a lot of ngatives but not having an election with 30% of the country occupied and a full scale war going on for the rest is, historically,no cause for Pres Trump to declare Zelensky a dictator and demand elections be held.

Because his country was attacked by an aggressive neighbor and huge chunks of its sovereign territory were captured and subsequently annexed even before his election. How can you run a free and fair elections when large part of electorate is under foreign occupation? Did Poland, France, Belgium, Czechoslovakia, Greece, Serbia conduct elections after Germany occupied them? Should Zelensky try to organize resistance to Russian aggression or should he put his white gloves on and not postpone (not cancel) presidential elections until the end of the hostilities?

And close any Russian affiliated churches...
It doesn’t matter what Z does or doesn’t do. The war will end when Putin assesses that Ukraine can no longer pose a viable military threat to Russia.
