The remarkable life story of Coast to Coast AM creator Art Bell may soon be coming to the silver screen by way of a biopic starring Oscar nominee Paul Giamatti. The percolating film project, set to be directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett of the acclaimed creative collective Radio Silence, has reportedly already drawn interest from Amazon and Warner Bros. Credited with spearheading the movie are producers Sophie Cassidy and Jeff Katz, who is a longtime fan of the late paranormal radio legend.

Love Art Bell.
Giamatti was great in “The Illusionist” which was in itself a great movie - very entertaining.
I used to listen to Art all the time. His website was so awful, it was amazing.
I will see this Art Bell movie for sure. In the Billions TV series, Giamatti was brilliant!
This type of movie is a natural for Amazon Prime. Which has a gawd awful free movie & free TV series selection these days. The Bosch series multiple seasons was their peak

Back in 96-97 I was working the night shift at John Tune regional airport in Nashville. I would be listening to Art talk about Werewolves, Vampires and alien abductions and then it was time to go check the hangers at o-dark-thirty. Geez.

Bell was the only good program that late.
Charlie the liberal from California had multiple government gigs. If he’s still on the payroll, I’m hoping DOGE “takes him out.”😀
No, thanks. Looks like they’re trying to extend the ol’ smear-real-alternative-views-by-hosting-them-with-a-guy-who’s-really-out-there magic they had with Bell for decades.
Of course, they still use the tactic, but being on strong radio stations, Bell was especially effective for their purposes.

IMO Bell had one of the great radio voices of all time.
The content of his show was ludicrous........but his voice was one of the best.
Was that where the alien was wrapped in the freezer like a burrito??
