NOW do you understand why the Congress wants to fund the ENTIRE government with ONE vote every September 30th??

Posted on 02/08/2025 8:02:37 AM PST by cotton1706

They never want ANYTHING looked into.

That's why they intentionally dither from January to September every year, passing no appropriations bills.

Then they pass a continuing resolution to November or December, because they need "more time."

Then they pass ANOTHER continuing resolution till March, then another till September, and start all over again.

Be it Hastert, Pelosi, Boehner, Ryan, Pelosi, McCarthy or Johnson, or Reid, McConnell, Schumer or Thune, the same thing ALWAYS happens: FULL funding of the government, with increases, with no accounting

But NOW we have an executive, with allies, who are looking into things, and surprise surprise, we're seeing all the waste, boondoggles, and payoffs in detail.

We may have seen our last continuing resolution...thank God!

Put it all together and in order to fund whatever popular program, they “of course” had to go along with...

They ignore the Constitution and don’t pass an annual budget. The graft and overspending is much easier with Continuing Resolutions.

We have much work to do before 2026. A lot of people "on our side" that need to be primaried. The work being done right now by Trump's Team and DOGE will put the fear of God Almighty into many of them, they'll start to play ball, but many others won't.

They've chosen their side, it's time to make them pay for their poor choices.

The line item Veto might require a constitutional amendment, which would probably never happen. Congress just doing its primary job and passing individual bills funding each of the departments separately will help a lot.

AI can search an enormous amount of information in seconds and come up with summaries of any aspect desired. I know someone who tried to read the “affordable care act“ and found that impossible because it was full of references to previous laws, previous regulations, previous everything. AI could now read that in lightning speed, and come up with any summary desired.

I am so happy that I have lived long enough to see this possible clean out of the federal government happening.

What is your source? Is this a vanity post?

I'm in agreement with your sentiment and insight. What's the plan now?

Its worse than they just didn’t do their jobs, as bad as that is, or simply passively went along to get along for politics sake.

They were compromised and paid off.

They enriched themselves while the Communists and pedophiles and reprobates and Big Pharma and Americas most hated enemies took every advantage.

There must be criminal accountability in a Court of Law and Justice.

Yes.

And do you understand why we never actually get a budget?

For 200 years the US congress was able to pass a budget every year, war, fog, famine or sunshine. They could pass a budget which was their one yearly job requirement.

And starting in the 2000s suddenly they lost the ability.

Personally I think all current and past congress critters who did not vote to pass a budget, and no a CFR is NOT a budget, should be arrested for fraud.

Exactly. Until we can have a budget, laid down for all to see months in advance of the voting deadline on an annual basis, we will never get a handle on this.

They WANT it to be a gigantic slush fund.

We can’t run our household or business finances like that (by law) why should they?
