I have a feeling Mayor Bass let that one staffer have it after the confrontation with the Sky News reporter. Bad advance work from her staff. They should of expected someone from the media to be waiting for the mayor as she stepped off her plane and had some statement ready for her to say as they made a hasty exit out of LAX.

My first thought was Ayn Rand’s novel Atlas Shrugged.
In that novel politically correct nominations and consolidation of power in socialists hands led to a breakdown of the system.
She highlighted the disaster with a train accident caused by abandonment of the merit system for crony hiring. 100s died as the train system was allowed to deteriorate and a passenger train became trapped in a tunnel.
In this real world situation we see the utter incompetence of this woke socialistic leadership and a fire is the result.
