DAMMAM – In Saudi Arabia, six Iranian citizens were beheaded for drug smuggling in the coastal city of Dammam.
The Saudi Press Agency reported that these individuals were executed after being found guilty of smuggling hashish into the country using covert methods.
The exact timing of the executions was not disclosed. According to reports, Saudi Arabia has executed 117 people in 2024 for drug smuggling.
In 2023, Saudi Arabia launched an anti-drug campaign, conducting raids and making arrests across various regions.
Amnesty International ranked Saudi Arabia third for the highest number of executions in 2023, after China and Iran. Human rights organizations continue to criticize this practice, while the Saudi government defends the death penalty as essential for maintaining public order, only carrying out executions after all appeals have been exhausted.
Congratulations to the Saudis.
No more drug smuggling for you!
Hasan Chop!!!
That’s definitely a case of FAFO in the most extreme way.
WHY can’t we do that too? asking for a friend.
Because you would be called out by Amnesty International! lol
Amnesty International can be damned.
Maybe Saudi's have a very low apprehension rate, and these fools thought they could beat those odds?
Seriously asking.

For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil.
Back in the sixties, getting a head on meant getting high on drugs. Now, in Saudi, one can get a head OFF for selling drugs.
Amnesty International is sad because they had to criticize a country other than the United States.
Smuggling drugs in Saudi Arabia is kind of like MAID (Medical Assistance in Dying) in Canada. The end result is the same. Death!
Maybe, but there are also people who place little value on their own lives, in any country. Including ours.
In Saudi Arabia, you get beheaded for smuggling drugs across the border. In the US, you get put up in a hotel at taxpayer expense and signed up for Welfare and Food Stamps.
You chose to take the risk, you lost. Don't care.
Not just Saudi Arabia, but Indonesia and Iran and other Muslim countries as well.
Indonesia uses hanging IIRC..........I don’t know which one I’d pick.........
We could do with some of that here.
As a vulnerable young person in the 1970s I was significantly harmed by exposure to cannabis use.
Alex Berenson was a former NY Times reporter and an award-winning novelist. He casually inquired of his wife, a medical chief at the Mid-Hudson Forensic Psychiatric facility for the criminally insane—including a cannibal—”how many of your inmates were frequent cannabis users?”
“Oh, all of them.” Berenson was agnostic on the marijuana issues, but his wife responded to his incredulity by telling him that the medical literature is quite definite about its deleterious effects and is easily accessible. Berenson ran up against a substantial special interest group when he wrote his 2019 book “Tell Your Children: The Truth About Marijuana, Mental Illness and Violence”, noting that during the British Raj the mental health authorities found that hashish users were a significant proportion of the insane asylum population, that frequent use is a factor in a 5% increase in adult-onset schizophrenia, and that the current environment of cannabis “self-medication” (self-induced mental illness) is characterized by significant increases in violent behavior.
Of course, users are quite definite in their opposition to Berenson’s findings.
That wont happen here. The biggest drug dealers in the US are all supported by our government buying up all their poison.
