White House claims US 'now in a different place' when asked why they're not calling Trump an 'existential threat' anymore
The Post Millennial ^ | 9/22/24 | Thomas Stevenson

The Biden White House has said that it is in a "different place" after President Joe Biden as well as others have spent months calling President-elect Donald Trump a "fascist" as well as an “existential threat," and Trump and Biden met in what appeared to be a friendly meeting after Trump stood victorious against Vice President Kamala Harris on November 5 in the presidential election.

When she was pressed by media on Biden no longer using the phrases since Trump was elected, Jean-Pierre replied that Biden is "now in a situation where we have to deal with a peaceful transfer of power" and needs to "respect the will of the American people."

WH press sec Karine Jean-Pierre on why Biden has not called Trump an "existential threat" recently:

“We are now in a different place.”

She later added, "The President is always going to be honest with the American people. He feels like he is obligated. What he said still stands, but we are now in a different place. The American people spoke. They deserve a peaceful transfer of power. That's what this President wants to do.”

Trump must be even more so an existential threat now that he has been swept into power.

Reality is more voters now know they were lied to.

“politics, like professional wrestling, is made up of bluster, threats and name calling but after the match...” applies. grew up in an area known for its wrestling greats that came from and still lived in the area. can’t tell you how many times me and friends would go out to a late night restaurant and see these “mortal enemies” of the wrestling world at the same table just yuking it up like old friends do.

Jean-Pierre replied that Biden is "now in a situation where we have to deal with a peaceful transfer of power missile technology to the Ukraine" and needs to "respect the will of the American people neocons and the deep state to instigate WW III before Trump is inaugurated."

That's what's changed.

Ask Bruiser Brody about “mortal enemies”.

Sometimes the search for fame and glory, or even top billing, takes unexpected turns.

The important thing when you’re caught in a lie is to have something reasonable sounding to say. This creates the illusion that you’ve answered the question and whatever you are accused of doing didn’t happen. I can’t bear listening to most politicians because they never answer the question. It’s all, “As you know, I grew up in a middle-class family.” What the heck does that have to do with the disaster at the border? But you’ve changed the subject and can now talk about something that isn’t a smoking disaster. My problem is that the media never have a follow up question to bring Mrs. “I-grew-up-in-a-middleclass-family” back to the subject.

Peaceful transfer of power to Hitler? They are either lying or insane. My guess is both.

So Trump is still what they called him but THEY’VE moved over to HIM? The plastic mores of the Left.

Quite unfortunately, I think you’re correct. The U.S. has escalated its war against Russia with the longer-range missiles. Add to that a green-light to use land mines against Russian soldiers, and surprise, surprise, Russia hits back, and hard. And even Fox News reports it as “Putin’s escalation”... I’ve spent more than a little time with Russians here in the U.S. Their sense of history is one in which Russia has been time and again required to drive out invaders, and this defines in large part their national character. My guess would be that most of the people would be OK with going nuclear if that’s what it took to defend the Motherland. Our present scenario could indeed be the entree to WW III, and here we are, ostensibly the most powerful country on the planet, literally Poking The Bear, without a functioning Commander In Chief...

They buried the hatchet and left the handle sticking out.
Biden was smiling during their WH meeting because of their plan to destroy Trump once and for all.
They furiously are spending $50B left in the IRA (prepare for more inflation)
They are starting WWIII allowing Ukraine to use land mines (Stop Now) and long range missiles on Russian soil.

Right...AND whatever domestic and international mess “Joe and Co.” continue to throw at the wall before leaving, will BE the ‘different place’ the rest of us have to live with!

How infantile they are!

Yes, not answering the question is a propaganda technique. All the politicians do it. These techniques and logical fallacies are in the US Army psyops manual from 1962 or 1963. I'd bet most politicians have read it. Logical fallacies like

Affirming the antecedent
Glittering generalities

Fascinating read but i haven't been able to find it in awhile.

That was just the campaign season. The rest of the time it's usually done free of charge.

We have a population now that has deliberately been made ignorant of history by the left's incursion into public education curriculum control. It is one of the reasons the left and a complicit media in the U.S. have been able to so successfully brainwash the general public into believing that Russia, an essentially Christian nation, is our most diabolical enemy, and must be defeated at all costs.

In the larger scheme of things after WW II, Russia should have become our staunchest ally, especially after Glasnost and Perestroika, and the deconstruction of the Soviet Union, and the Berlin Wall removal in 1989. How many Americans today know of any of this? Not many.

Yes. And No. From their perspective, attacking Ukraine was a defensive imperative. If NATO were not perceived as a threat, no attack would have occurred.

When that Organization issues statements such as

“NATO recognises the disproportionate impact that conflict has on women and girls, the vital roles women play in peace and security, and the importance of incorporating gender perspectives in all that the Alliance does.”

...there is cause for concern.
