South Dakota Governor Kristi Norm has been rumored as the next Secretary for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The former frontrunner to be Donald Trump’s running mate is being reported by CNN based on “two people familiar with the selection.”
Until we hear it from Trump, it’s only a rumor.
According to CNN:
Noem, who previously was a South Dakota representative, will now be tasked with overseeing a sprawling agency that oversees everything from US Customs and Border Protection and Immigration and Customs Enforcement to the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the US Secret Service.
Noem had once been on Trump’s shortlist for vice president, though her relationship with Trump shifted after the negative rollout surrounding the publication of her book: “No Going Back: The Truth on What’s Wrong with Politics and How We Move America Forward.” In it, she revealed that she once killed her 14-month-old wirehair pointer, Cricket, when she was not displaying the signs of an ideal hunting dog.
This does sound like an odd pick if it’s real.
Just keep her away from Title IX. That can work.

I’m sure the DOJ is transcribing every phone call, text, email, message, and conversation, of every Trump related potential staff member. Trump has been through this before. He should plant false information and follow it in order to bring out the fedzilla culprits.
Bannon comes on in about an hour. Let’s see what he says. In farm country you don’t always euthanize with a vet. The dog had more problems than not being a good hunting dog. Trump has her as the mod of a townhall. So he was always cool with her. SD 3 electors were never in question. So she wasnt going to be VP pick.
The idea of Noem being DHS Secy should also make domestic islamists give pause. Any domestic terrorist acts that result in a death penalty means the Islamists ho downstairs-no virgins, because they were sent there by a woman. BTW-That also applies if Gabbard is Sec Def to foreign Islamists who die from our military

I was hopin’ Trump would put the Homeland “Security” mess in his garbage truck. American has been invaded by 20 million foreign invaders over the past four years and the Homeland “Security” boyz and gurls helped them get in. Traitors cutting our concertina wire paid for by Texas taxpayers.

Do you know how hard it is to shoot your dog? It is not done easily. No, people take it to the vet or give it to the shelter and make it someone else’s problem and stand on their high moral ground.
I have done this. It does not leave you and teaches you much respect for life and the tough decision that need to be made.
She would be a better pick for SD governor. Oh right ... sorry.
What qualifies her for DHS? She would be better at AG where they handle farming and animal control.
If she is the DHS nominee it might mean that Trump is choosing his cabinet by secret lottery. Still the results may be better than many of his first term selections.
