Following Donald Trump's victory in the 2024 United States presidential election, social media erupted in a storm of criticism after a professor's tweet claimed that "educated people vote blue," sparking a fierce debate about elitism, political polarization, and the broader culture wars in America.
On November 6, 2024, a PhD professor in English, Sueanna Smith, penned a tweet on X suggesting that educated people tend to vote for the Democratic Party (blue), while the "uneducated" population is seen as hindering progress.
"There is a reason why educated people vote blue. What we're seeing is the uneducated population of America holding the rest of the country hostage. This is why there's such a push to weaken education, ban books, and outlaw the teaching of Black history by the Republican Party," Smith wrote.

These elitists are also the type of people who incessantly blather about “messaging” when they lose. It’s never about their policies. They think they’re smart and ordinary people are dumb, so if they repackage their policy in just the perfect way, they can trick people into voting for it. This was all they talked about when Kerry lost and they’re already starting down that road. They can’t accept the fact that people might see their policies for what they really are and simply tell them to shove it.
Soon to be experiencing “recently hired, recently fired”.
Propagandized people vote blue.
And, unfortunately, at this point, the more “educated” you are, the more propagandized you are.
That's right. *Culturally insensitive* books like *Little House on the Prairie*.
Happened in a school district I know of and given that reason by the librarian when I asked.
Melania speaks 5 languages.
“Only us educated (indoctrinated) smarmy jackwagons know what’s best for you rubes! Now, shut up, and bend the knee; fools!”
CS Lewis in That Hideous Strength explained that "educated" people were more easily brainwashed than blue collar workers. We've seen this play out in recent years.
People with Doctorates in Medicine laugh at people bragging on their Doctorates in Science, and those with Doctorates in Science laugh at people bragging on their Doctorates in English and Education.
Correction: Dems are the party of the highly educated and CRIMINALS
Sounds racist
I have 9 years of post-high school education, having earned a double major in finance and economics, an MBA, a law degree and a Master of Laws. I would hardly be considered to be “uneducated “ by any sensible measure - and I have proudly voted for DJT 6 times. This professor suffers from a IQ-reducing condition known as being “full of crap” (that’s a technical term, btw).
Not one course that she teaches uses intelligence or critical skills with any sort of true historical perspective.
All is apparently self-referential. The Narcissism Generation

Hmmm....I have a JD, and MBA and speak 3 languages and I definitely DO NOT vote blue. So suck it.
I guess they haven’t heard the term Well Educated Stupid People. They are everywhere in academia and DC.
…which suggests they may not have been educated so much as brainwashed..
I guess he’s talking about all those people with useless degrees who can’t find a job. The ones who have all day to troll social media and watch biased TV. Those of us smart, degreed people, who work are the ones who voted for Trump.
Today’s educated people are brainwashed idiots incapable of making their own decisions so do as they are told.
They don’t even know what gender they are and their SCOTUS pick doesn’t know what a woman is.
That is the perfect response to this elitist drivel. Thanks to Michael Malice.
