GOVERNMENT Is the SOLUTION?

“In this present crisis, government is not the solution to our problem–government IS the problem.” –Ronald Reagan, Inaugural Address 1981

How times have changed!

J.D. Vance gave a masterful performance in this week’s Vice Presidential debate. While personally, I don’t think Kamala Harris’ Vice Presidential nominee Tim Walz did badly in his knowledge of governance (after all, he is a governOR), he did fall flat in a few places, notably poorly defending his lie that he witnessed the Tiananmen Square massacre in China, and his odd remark that “I have become friends with school shooters.”

In fairness, I’m sure Gov. Walz meant he has become friends with the parents of those who have lost their lives at the hands of school shooters, but it was still not a good look.

But the most important thing to me was the way in which JD Vance kept his poise when attacked by the horrendous CBS moderators. His “emotional intelligence” is more striking than his obvious intellectual intelligence. This is what likely scares the hell out of Democrats, who have been playing the Saul Alinsky’s 12 Rules For Radicals game for decades. Rule Number 5 says: ““Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.” “There is no defense. It’s irrational. It’s infuriating. It also works as a key pressure point to force the enemy into concessions.”

They purposely and regularly use this tactic. Kamala Harris successfully used it in her debate against President Trump, as I mentioned in a recent video (this was pointed out by Tucker Carlson and no doubt others).

But the tactic doesn’t work when your opponent (JD Vance) won’t “take the bait.” In fact, the psychic/spiritual principle REVERSES!

In stark contrast, Tim Walz looked downright unhinged at times, particularly when he reacted to JD Vance comments with unsettling faces and furious scribbling. Is this really the guy you want as your next Vice President?

JD Vance accomplished something BIG in this debate, and I believe that God placed him in this circumstance for such a time as ours. And major credit needs to go to President Trump for choosing this man as his running mate.

If you can’t see the difference between these two teams (Trump/Vance vs. Harris/Walz) at this point, you are either brainwashed by the media or you have serious evil in your heart.

But I would be remiss if I failed to mention something that pulled heavy on my heart while watching this debate: It is sad that in these times in America, Donald Trump (and by extension, his representative JD Vance), feels they cannot even mention the BABY who is killed in his or her mother’s womb by an abortion procedure; thinks they need to agree that government (taxpayers) should play a role in paying for “family leave” after a woman delivers a baby; and believes they can not challenge the idea that it makes sense for the People to foot the bill for a $25,000 down payment “assistance” for first-generation home buyers.

These are just several examples that come to mind of a perceived need to cater to a culture that has lost much of its morality, and has developed an increased sense of entitlement. Ronald Reagan would be mortified that America has gone from “government IS the problem,” to “government IS the solution”!

I can’t blame President Trump for going along with this kind of thinking, or Vice Presidential candidate J.D. Vance for backing Trump. Frankly, I believe it likely is the wisest thing to do under the circumstances. After all, a President must lead the people, yet at the same time be lead by the people. It reminds me of when Arnold Schwarzenegger was Governor of California, and promoted ballot initiatives to cut the burden of government, yet the people rejected these initiatives, so Arnold basically shrugged and said, “Okay, you win!”

And while I understand the motivation of those who refuse to support Trump/Vance because they’re not “stronger” on the “life” issue, I believe it is incredibly short-sided to sit out the election, knowing that by doing so may mean that Obama/Harris/Walz would almost surely (short of an outright miracle) finish the destruction of America as we know it, meaning a future filled with unimaginable horror on so many levels. I think people in general have no idea what a country can be reduced to, though history and even current examples abound.

And by the way, no America means no free world. Let that sink in.

Culture Rules The late Andrew Breitbart famously said that politics is “downstream” from culture, meaning that culture drives politics. Our culture is broken in so many ways, and our politics reflect it. JD Vance did a tremendous job at the Vice Presidential Debate, as largely did President Trump in his first term (outside of COVID, but that’s another story). And please–if COVID is your stumbling block regarding Trump, consider that Obama/Harris/Walz would mandate any “necessary” shots, and that RFK, Jr. would likely be working with and influencing Trump in any pandemic situation.

Given what the Biden/Harris regime is doing to America (it is criminal and I hope you are aware of it–hint: please consider including some other news sources beyond CNN and MSNBC), the choice for Trump/Vance is a slam dunk. I will proudly vote for them and have been promoting them at every turn. It may be literally life or death for America as we know it, it’s that serious.

But I am under no illusions: We witnessed the American culture continue to head South during Trump’s first term in many ways. So getting Trump elected is HUGE, yet by itself it will NOT be enough to save our country. This is a SPIRITUAL issue, and America must return to being the “shining city on a hill.”

We must restore decency and sanity in America, or this great nation will surely die. It will not take ALL of us, as I am quite aware that a large segment will NOT be onboard. But Margaret Mead, who I’m sure was no conservative, got it right when she said, “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world.”

I wholeheartedly agree with her on that point.

Government is certainly not the solution–but the American People certainly can be! I pray that we are wise enough to–with God’s guidance–BE that solution.

The only people left who haven’t decided on their vote are people who don’t vote.

Oh, they'll vote. They just won't know they did because someone did it for them.

My friends there are too many ‘victims’ out there with that mentality. Started with blacks in the 60’s. Now everyone is piling on. It’s an easy sell, especially with women in this man’s world. Government is like a heroin fix. you end up needing more.

Conservatives are happier. Why aren’t we blowing that horn?
